Am sick of reminding DH to flush the toilet whenever he uses it or I just have to flush before I use it to avoid arguing. Are your men like this because am really fed up?

OP posts:
TartanDMs · 04/07/2017 20:38

Christ no. I wouldn't be able to deal with that, the dirty bleeder.

SheRaaarghPrincessOfPower · 04/07/2017 20:39

That's fucking disgusting.

No, most men aren't like this fgs. Tell your revolting husband that if my 3yo can manage to flush a toilet, so can he.

DuchessofManchester · 04/07/2017 20:40

No men aren't like this....that's absolutely disgusting. Bet he manages to flush at work

WotcherHarry · 04/07/2017 20:40

Yes, he is, also incredibly fed up!

magpiemay · 04/07/2017 20:40

My OH does this and it drives me insane!

VimFuego101 · 04/07/2017 20:42

Make him a sticker chart if he's going to act like a child then treat him like one

Rinkydinkypink · 04/07/2017 20:44

Another sufferer and DC are starting to do the same! I'm sick of seeing other people's piss! I've started to get really openly fucked off with it.

It's vile, completely vile.

My oh does this and it seriously pisses me off.

Rinkydinkypink · 04/07/2017 20:44

It's that awful I've posted 4 times 😂

CockacidalManiac · 04/07/2017 20:45

I've never understood this. I'm a man, and I'm fully able to flush a toilet. It really is the height of laziness and thoughtlessness not to do it.

pinkyredrose · 04/07/2017 20:45

Wee or poo?

AtSea1979 · 04/07/2017 20:48

You married him? Has he only just started to do this and have you suddenly got the ick?

ShmooBooMoo · 04/07/2017 20:51

Just wee or poo too?
My huge concern , if he can't be arsed to flush the toilet, is that he probably can't be arsed to wash his hands either.

Topseyt · 04/07/2017 21:01

Disgusting and disrespectful to everyone else in the house.

No, the majority of men are not like this.

My DH certainly would never do this. We are both generally of the "leave it as you would wish to find it" persuasion.

KinkyAfro · 04/07/2017 21:01

Mum does this, wees all day and only flushes before bed or if she has a poo...makes me gip when i go round. Was a wee in my toilet when i got home from work too despite me asking her to please flush when she's here

Ruddygreattiger2016 · 04/07/2017 21:03

My h started 'forgetting' to flush a few years ago.

I reminded him nicely, he still did it saying he forgot.
I reminded him not so nicely, he still did it saying he forgot.
I put a sign on top of the toilet to remind him, he still did it and commented I was treating him like an idiot, and he still forgot.

Its fucking disgusting and on a long list of annoying manchild behaviours which is why this year I told him I longer love or respect him anymore and I left him.
Unfortunately op, some men are absolute animals to live with, they are happy that way and couldnt give a shit if it offends anyone (no pun intended).

caffeinestream · 04/07/2017 21:06

Bleurgh. My dad does this with wee and it's horrific. It stinks the bathroom out and stains the toilet.

It's a really grim habit and I wouldn't live with a partner who thought he could leave his urine to stink the toilet out.

PollytheDolly · 04/07/2017 21:07

If it's yellow, let it mellow.
If it's brown, flush it down.

PoorYorick · 04/07/2017 21:07

What? Who the fuck does that??

HazelBite · 04/07/2017 21:10

Husband and 4 adult sons all manage to flush.

The only people I know who do this have water meters, but they run the risk of damaging the porcelain and making cleaning the loo more difficult to clean.
It is really skanky.

PoorYorick · 04/07/2017 21:11

Ruddygreat, he cannot have forgotten to flush. Was he actually just trying to be awful to you?

FruitBadger · 04/07/2017 21:14

Yorick my In-laws. They also leave the bath water in after they've had a bath or shower, with a big jug that you're supposed to use to refill the cistern when you do flush. Christmas get togethers at theirs are a hoot trying to work out with the BILs and SILs if there's been sufficient usage to justify a flush Hmm

PlymouthMaid1 · 04/07/2017 21:15

Plenty of people don't flush a wee each time to save water. Poo would be grim though.

Shoxfordian · 04/07/2017 21:24

It's disgusting; another poem for you

Doesn't matter if it's wee or poo
Always flush your smelly loo
