Does she regret not being with her ex?

The other night my girlfriend had dinner with her ex, they haven't seen each other for about 2 years. Firstly he told her to dress nice and took her for an expensive meal and dropped her home. Later that night there was a selfie of them together and he had put a statement about how he was too immature for her back then and that she replied that looking back she had let a good catch go. Should I be jealous/worried?

I wouldn't be too impressed if I was you and with the whole 'dress nice' comment, I'd leave them to it.

I think she's being rather disrespectful to you and I personally wouldn't tolerate it.

Raggybones17 · 21/06/2017 22:56

I must admit I was hurt by the whole thing. I know I shouldn't be I did snoop on his Facebook and I was upset about their old posts and good times. I think her feelings and the relationship was more intense than she makes out. I'm not sure if she was flattering him or not as she text and said not to be upset by the post, she has no romantic feelings for him.

Why was she meeting up with him anyway ? Very disrespectful of your relationship. How old is she?

Raggybones17 · 21/06/2017 23:03

They have stayed good friends apparently and she has visited home and they decided to meet. They look very happy on the picture and on the post somebody said congratulations as the post sounded like a relationship status and she clearly states that they are friends. I'm confused though as when she talks about him she is very blazee, looking at his Facebook they were very intense and she wrote him poems and everything.

@supermumofmany

She is 25.

Sounds like they're still hung up on each other. Leave them to it and find someone who doesn't come with an ex attached.

SandyY2K · 21/06/2017 23:10

She's taking you for a fool. There's millions of women out there... I'd find myself another one.

Raggybones17 · 21/06/2017 23:14

Also she is liking all his Facebook status since that night. I shouldn't be snooping but it's hard after that post making me insecure.

@HildaOg

I think he is very much hung up on her, although she said he was taking about another girl he was hung up on. I think she likes the idea of him now that he is super fit and she is a gym fanatic and he is an established lawyer now so they have lots in common as she is a workaholic also.

HildaOg · 21/06/2017 23:17

Block her and move on. They're back on. Don't trust people who give you reason not to.

HildaOg · 21/06/2017 23:18

You can do so much better. Find a lady who is hung up on you. Your girlfriend had her chance with you. She's proven that she's not the one.

Raggybones17 · 21/06/2017 23:19

@HildaOg

It's not looking good. She is back at home and isn't back on this country till late next week. He doesn't live in this country but if he did they would be back on!

OP posts:
HildaOg · 21/06/2017 23:21

Do you live together?

Raggybones17 · 21/06/2017 23:22

@HildaOg

Not yet, we have been together not long, about 2 and a half months.

OP posts:
HildaOg · 21/06/2017 23:22

I think her being out of the country is the perfect time to remove her from your life. By the time she gets back be uncontactable. She doesn't deserve you.

user1487941567 · 21/06/2017 23:23

Why was she meeting up with him anyway ? Very disrespectful of your relationship.

^ don't agree with this statement but do agree that their level of intimacy is too much. Move on Flowers

HildaOg · 21/06/2017 23:24

In your situation I'd block her number and social media accounts and start dating other people. The best way to get over somebody is to get on someone else. Or so they say😉

ThePlatypusAlwaysTriumphs · 21/06/2017 23:26

Ouch! I wouldn't be happy if I was you!

supermumofmany · 21/06/2017 23:27

Well if she's meeting up with an ex and her boyfriend had no idea until pics turned up on Facebook I'd say that's disrespectful

Raggybones17 · 21/06/2017 23:28

@supermumofmany

She did ask if it was ok before she went and I thought nothing of it till she said he told her to dress nice and all the other things that followed.

OP posts:
supermumofmany · 22/06/2017 00:09

Ok Raggy I didn't realise that, it's seems he was trying to woo her like on a date

PokerRoomRules · 22/06/2017 00:11

Wow. Slow down! You've only been together 2 1/2 months! Yes they're flirting and you have every reason to back off. So do just that. Back off. It's still very early days. Good luck OP

DirtyChaiLatte · 22/06/2017 00:15

Yeah, sounds like they went on a date. I don't think I would have been OK if my partner got dressed up to go to a fancy dinner with his ex.

SparklingRaspberry · 22/06/2017 00:39

God no. She's treating you like a fool

loaferloveforyou · 22/06/2017 00:45

Nah, fuck that! Move on
