I have not posted much recently on here re my separation, but thought I would pop on tonight & give a little update for all who have followed my threads & kept me going through my many blips over the last couple of years!

Hopefully things are now moving on quite a bit & I will soon be in my own place with the boys.
I am in the process of buying a house atm & hopefully the survey is being done on Tuesday, so it (hopefully) shouldn't be much longer now,
H has just had an offer accepted on a flat, which he seems to be quite happy about. I am just praying nothing falls through now!
It has been a rather stressful 9 months, which I wouldn't have managed to get through without the support I received from you lot, so thank you.

Haven't watched your story - sorry, but am glad you seem to be putting your life back together and seem to be looking forward to the future.

fishpie · 17/03/2007 21:33

The messyone Im so pleased for you and wish you every success for the furture you certainly deserve it

Keep up the good work and if you have anymore blips just call me and I will see if I can help!

Themessyone · 17/03/2007 21:48

You threw me for a minute there, fishpie!

Thought I would give an update with a very similar name, so those who posted on my threads could identify me quite easily.

Brilliant news messy one - the only way is up for you now. Good luck.

Themessyone · 17/03/2007 23:09

Thanks.
I have posted under a number of different names, so I guess people may well not know who the heck I am, but hey ho, thought I would post an update all the same!!

OP posts:
mamama · 17/03/2007 23:12

Nice to see an update - I do wonder how you are getting on

Marina · 17/03/2007 23:15

Oh, I have just worked out who you are (I think). Either way, am very pleased for you at these new developments, messyone.
Make sure you change your name to messyresurgens or Triumphantone when you are finally in your new place with the boys because you've had a long hard slog to get there Fingers crossed all goes smoothly with the house

Themessyone · 17/03/2007 23:18

Yes it's me, Marina! The messy one!

OP posts:
Themessyone · 17/03/2007 23:19

haven't worked out who you are, but glad things are going well for you

Themessyone · 18/03/2007 10:06

Thank you both.
My name is just a slight alteration of my last one, so people have a good idea who I am!
The house I'm buying is also the beginning of our chain & it is very near to the school, which is good!

Themessyone · 18/03/2007 10:33

Saw my solicitor the other week & he seems pretty pleased with how things are progressing.

Freckle · 18/03/2007 10:37

Terrific news, messy. So glad things are moving on in a positive way. Has ex-h finally accepted that you won't be deflected from your chosen path? Are you parents any better about your decision?

We are still together in the house atm & will be until the bitter end!
H seems quite positive about his flat, but I do fear he is not going to let go fully too easily, and he still spends loads of time with my parents - he sees far more of them than I do!

OP posts:
Themessyone · 18/03/2007 10:50

Parents would still do anything to stop this happening, but think they have had to accept that it is happening & thats that!

OP posts:
Themessyone · 18/03/2007 18:03

Been round parents house today because of Mothers Day, and dad forbid me from their PC because he thinks the computer has done far too much damage!!
I only wanted to check something I was selling on ebay!!!

OP posts:
warthog · 18/03/2007 19:27

penny has dropped. really glad it's working out for you

Themessyone · 18/03/2007 22:04

Ahh, you've worked me out, warthog! I will keep you all updated.

OP posts:
Blu · 18/03/2007 22:09

You are a triumph, MsMessy...you've had to cope with more than many do, and you're seeing it through.

Caribbeanqueen · 18/03/2007 22:10

Thanks for the update. Glad things are moving forward and I hope you and your boys are soon in your new house and building a new, happy life.
