Because he is a sexual predator out to seduce us all, obviously

MrsDaveSpoon · 21/02/2007 17:01

There's lots of blokes on here today and they are all called 'Dave'.

DaveOHara · 21/02/2007 17:01

HappyDaddy · 21/02/2007 17:01

Shhh, I've only managed half of you so far NDP.

anontoday2 · 21/02/2007 17:02

Happydaddy - honestly I wasn't trying to offend or S*it stir, I wasn't picking on you as such, you posted on my thread and I was just asking if it was for Dad's too.

I got a shock when I posted this, I'm not a bad person, just posted on here as it was recommended by a friend and I had a problem, she told me you were all very supportive.

Sorry to all but I really wasn't looking to upset you.

JolieGirl · 21/02/2007 17:03

Hey hey let's cool down - I'm pretty new here as well and tbh I thought it was for mums. Does what it says on the tin and all that. Not sure the OP was phrased quite right, but it's still a valid point. Friends....????? [running off to hide to duck rotten fruit and veg]

Tirnanog · 21/02/2007 17:03

I think it's great to have the balance of male and female postings

lissielou · 21/02/2007 17:04

ok anon, its an honest mistake. the OP was just a bit.... aggressive.

we are nice, honest!

anontoday2 · 21/02/2007 17:04

why would you think I'm not new, I'm just typing in a box?

OP posts:
itsmeNDaveP · 21/02/2007 17:04

If you read the homepage blurb, it does actually say that it is a parenting site for parents.

In fact the tagline is "by parents, for parents", isn't it ?

anontoday2 · 21/02/2007 17:05

i'd not read it, just knew it was called MUMsnet?

OP posts:
JolieGirl · 21/02/2007 17:05

yes but it is still called mumsnet. why not call it parentsnet from the outset if that was the intention? It IS a misleading name IMVHO.

HappyDaddy · 21/02/2007 17:05

anontoday2, you may be right wondering if i have secret ajenda. I have to confess taht i do.

I am here to save the world from the arseholiness of many men and to put up my dukes against them all.

And to learn about this parenting thing. (whispers) I crossed to the dark side and was a SAHD for a while. don't tell anyone.

Tutter · 21/02/2007 17:06

strange that a newbie would use abbrevuations

unusual i'd say

MynamesDaveIswimlikeafish · 21/02/2007 17:06

It's being renamed as week speak.

Dave'sNet.

By Dave for Dave.

cremolafoam · 21/02/2007 17:07

is it just me or is everyone a bit cross today?

WelshDave · 21/02/2007 17:07

She aint no newbie no way no how.

cremolafoam · 21/02/2007 17:07

PMSL at Davenet

anontoday2 · 21/02/2007 17:08

I don't think there is anything wrong with being a SAHD, being totally honest my friend is a member, she sent me a link which came straight to the talk page/relationships and I just posted on it. I will find a new name if this one is a problem being anon, I was being anon as thats how I feel not to fool anyone into thinking I don;t want to be known.

Whats trip trap?

HappyDaddy · 21/02/2007 17:08
