Potential date referring to two people on First Dates as 'bummers'

Convo with this guy on POF. Gone well so far. Just discussing our mutual enjoyment of First Dates and he says do I remember the episode when the 'two bummers ate the snail shells'.

So I said 'who did what?'.

He then changed it to 'the gay couple'.

That's strike 1 for him.

Surely he's out ?

blackopium · 02/01/2017 22:54

narrow minded 7 homofobic comment, would be a red flag for me.

notyounanbread · 02/01/2017 22:55

I'd say out!

blackopium · 02/01/2017 22:55

sorry meant & not 7 lol Blush

Mrskeats · 02/01/2017 22:57

No chance. Ditch. What a horrible thing to say.

DanniiMinogue · 02/01/2017 22:57

Knob, move on. At least you can block and delete before you've invested too much time and energy.

Cherryskypie · 02/01/2017 22:57

Life's too short to deal with that shit.

Dappledsunlight · 02/01/2017 22:59

Horrible, unacceptably homophobic comment. Angry

Pollyanna9 · 02/01/2017 23:03

That's what I thought. Convo progressed (I've got nothing else on) and he's just said if he was at the first dates hotel he'd have to throw his date in the pool.

!!!

If he did that to me I'd rip his head off.

Not that he's going to get the chance...

Strike one? Surely that's game over right there? Hmm

marmitecrumpets · 02/01/2017 23:06

Game over!

Pollyanna9 · 02/01/2017 23:06

I can't believe how quick you all replied - you're fab!! I may need to keep you at hand for further adventures of Pollyanna's POF dating! There's sure to be more of this.

Pollyanna9 · 02/01/2017 23:08

Calm down, calm down. I'm not a moron, I can see a red flag when it's waving at me and am quite capable of kicking this pillock to the kerb!

Just sharing the joys of online dating with you all.

So that's 40 minutes I'll never get back!!

Why is he single I wonder ?

Pollyanna9 · 02/01/2017 23:11

He seems to think the only reason you wouldn't want to be thrown in a swimming pool by your date would be because you can't swim...

He appears to have gone off in a huff. Maybe he's got a thing for throwing women into water I don't know. I hate all that sort of stuff - I'm not a teenager, I'm a 50 year old woman.

I am a laaaaady (no, I really am!).

FeckinCrutches · 02/01/2017 23:11

I'd give you a game over for using the word 'Moron'

Pollyanna9 · 02/01/2017 23:12

He's only joking (about the chucking in the pool...).

I hate people who say one thing then are to scared to own it and try and pull it back and downplay what they said.

And I hate homophobes too.

AverageJosephine · 02/01/2017 23:13

Oooh, yep. He'd be gone. No recovering from that.

Pollyanna9 · 02/01/2017 23:16

Right, reset the counter to zero. Have another go tomorrow!

Night all!!!!!!

I must say my new Zero Tolerance Dating approach is rather refreshing Grin.

Well considering you feel it's appropriate to explain that you're 'not a moron', I'd say you're a pretty good match.

FitnessFad · 02/01/2017 23:22

What's wrong with the word moron??! Does it have another meaning I don't know about?

FeckinCrutches · 02/01/2017 23:45

What do you think the meaning is? It's an offensive term for people with learning disabilities.

I'd have interpreted 'bummer' as 'stoner'.

Someone who bums around.

Not that that's much better...
