feeling really down....
dh is a nervous type...he can't control his temper..........sometimes.......I'm always
try to be careful, I learn the way to
talk to him...in 8 years we only had big arguments 3 times..and we pinched each other and small slaps few times.....
but yesterday.......I was upset with him...just about the washing up left over...from lunch+dinner up to the morning after.....while I was working all day.
Anyway I strt to moan and ag loudly around the house, of course was smelly...and for technical reason there was not water where I live for few hours in the morning...he got up and in aggressive way slapped me...
not really hard not sign in my face---but he said I deserve.........
he said that he could do harder next time...
he said other things like the marriage is over.........and bbla bla .....we all do when we argu....
but I'm not happy about the slaps.....
he usually apologyse....but now he think I need to apologyse.........and I deserve so!!!!!!!!
I want someone talk to him....shall I call his sister.......we are in a foregn country and he doesn't speak the language...
but he needs to know that is not right to put hands on me!!!!!!!!!111

thats ok

MamazonAKAfatty · 17/02/2007 10:45

Sorry i hadn't realised you were in Italy.

You asked how you manage to leave and how your DS would cope...the answer is simple, He will cope amazingly because he wont have to grow up being carefull of what he says i case daddy gets upset. he wont need to see his mother being pushed around for asking for some help with housework.

he will see his mother be the string independant woman she wants to be rather than tha meek mild mannered slave his father has turned her into.

and as for "do you really think so?
for small slaps and pinch....
mainly holding and pushing hands to each other......... "

YES

My ex started out just pushing and shoving. i like you just couldn't see that this was domestic violance. he hadn't hit me or really hurt me. domestic violance happened to other women and they always end up in hospital, this was just a heated row......until he punched me in the stomach whilst 9 weeks pregnant and caused a miscarriage.
until he held a knife to my throat in front of my 2 year old autistic son,
Until he raped me over and over again,
Until he would break into my house to abuse me,
Until he told my son to ignore "the stupid fat bitch, she will just go off and shag all your mates anyway"

Until he threw a screwdriver at me which missed and landed in my 4 week old baby's chair whilst she was sitting in it
......etc etc

Pushing and shoving gets worse! not "it might" IT WILL!
there are reams of statistics that prove it.

I hope you are able to get the help you need in Italy. If your family can help themn please confide in them, i know your worried for your mother but if things get worse she could quite easily find herself far more distraught at the fact she could lose a Daughter!

MamazonAKAfatty · 17/02/2007 10:47

And how do you know the refuges are horrible?

I dont know what the Italian ones are like but i spent 6 months in and English one and whilst i wouldn't want to live in one if i had a choice (obviously) but they were perfectly nice pleasant places with lots of support.

they are not dingy damp covered rooms that everyone seems to imagine

sasa15 · 17/02/2007 10:53

that's his answer!
You're at bit over dramatic you know.. I just gave you a slap in the
face because of your insulting manner and tone and doing so in front
of Gianni as he was saying for you to stop also. I don't condone
hitting women but at the same time I will not condone you speaking to
me in that way. your email gives me grounds to call a
solicitor for the deflammatory comments you are making about me.. do
you want to go that route?

i don't think you should leave him if you think that he would be willing to work at keeping the marriage. if you think he loves you and you love him then i suggest to you that you say to him that he must go to anger management.

of course if you are unhappy then thats diferent altogether.

his slapping you is inexcusable, but you also help set this violent norm and are not blameless in this situation.

that is what i advise, if you think he is willing then get some external help and try to make it work

Tortington · 17/02/2007 10:58

in that case it sounds like he wants out.

so yes go the solicitor route.

sazjaz · 17/02/2007 11:00

You should never put up with any kind of violence.

Where is S italy roughly - I'll try and get some numbers for you. I appreciate that there are relatively few service in south italy.
