I've been involved in a local production of the sound of music and I've been playing the role of Maria. The thing is, my dh came to watch the performance the other week and he said it turned him on so much that now he wants me to dress up as maria before we have sex and to sing the songs.

help! I'm finding it hard to concentrate on the production now as every time I have to sing I think of my dh.

I've tried telling him I'm not comfortable singing during sex but he's insistant.

Tell me, how does he feel about pirates?

Snort - these are a few of my favourite things. (Make up your own words )

controlfreakyandroses · 09/02/2007 22:05

MariaVonTrap · 09/02/2007 22:05

but it's not funny and I don't know what to do. We've always had a normal sex life before now so this has totally come out of the blue. and I've got a show tomorrow and I have no idea how I'm going to get through it without being haunted by dh's requests.

when I'm with her I'm confused, out of focus and bemused and I never know exactly where I am - maybe DH is after a bit of confusion and mystery??

Or even climb every mountain, ford every stream...

colditz · 09/02/2007 22:07

It is.

funny, that is.

MariaVonTrap · 09/02/2007 22:07

and he called me from work tonight and said he wanted apple strudle and I know he doesn't mean the dessert.

perhaps he just wants you to dress up in dirndl skirt and peasant blouse with unpleasant waistcoat and wear wholesome makeup.......
stop being such a spoilsport maria!

clairemow · 09/02/2007 22:08

Sorry, I crossed posts with you, and now feel really insensitive.

Is DH really serious? If it's any consolation, my DH loves Maria in the movie and gets quite hot under the collar when she's in her corset or skipping along with her guitar, so your DH is probably not alone.

controlfreakyandroses · 09/02/2007 22:09

with whipped cream no doubt!

MariaVonTrap · 09/02/2007 22:10

but why. Dh has always been so placid, in fact I'm usually the more adventurous one so I just don't understand where this has come from.

Just slam on the DVD

The only slightly erotic thing in the film has to be those buxom puppets though

WanderingTrolley · 10/02/2007 11:17

I am very concerned for your welfare, Maria.

This is the thin end of the wedge.

First it's "Wear a wimple, darling" then it's "mmmm.. you know the goat herd song, with the .. er goat. I like goats...."

Leave the b@stard.

Try Switzerland.

LieselVentouse · 10/02/2007 12:15

Mummy, I have to say your DH has impecable taste. Will he dress up as the Captain?
