How do I let him down gently and end it?? We havent even dtd yet!! He is lovely but has never been in a long term relationship. This has just freaked me out and really put me off. We've seen each other 3 times in the last 2 weeks.

I have said a few times can we just see what happens.

Good! You shouldn't not do something because it might hurt someone else for a little while at the expense of your own happiness.

All will be fine Smile

Unless youre a bloke in which case you will be mercilessly roasted as a heartless bastard for doing it by text for all eternity isn't that right Jiggly* Grin (I'm not a bloke btw)

Les I take the opinion of regardless of the sex of person sending the message, it's sometimes just easier to do it in a text form Grin I can't be bothered to hand hold someone whilst the blubber and hiccup because I've made the decision to leave. I am perceived as pretty ruthless by friends though Confused

My abusive ex husband was the best, I walked out and he decided to try and off himself by holding a bread knife to his neck, and then I had to go through the hassle of calling the police as I was trapped in a room with a loon and a knife. They safely removed me from the house and I shouted "what fucking idiot tries to kill themselves with a bread knife, what's he gonna do cut a stale baguette and bludgeon himself with it Hmm" the police officer just snorted.

Just to clear it up, it was a clear act he had no intention of harming himself whatsover just wanted to "scare" me. I gee testicles that'd day and thought you know what "fuck this shit" and never looked back haha

In my 'text' defence, he asked me out via fb message!!! I ended it how it started.

Good for you OP.As someone else said, if he was the right one this wouldn't matter but he isn't and it does and if you're ok dumping by text so be it.
