How is housework divided in your house?

When i comment that DP does housework, people seem surprised- surely he's not the only one?!

I'm not back in work until March, and DP works Mon-Fri. We both load / empty the dishwasher, DP is usually the one who hoovers, i iron his shirts for work and make a him lunch to take, and i wash the clothes. We both bath DS every night, and i take care of DS during the day. I cook every night except Fri- which is DP's night to cook...which means take away!

DH is upstairs hoovering as I type.

Usually he does the washing and drying of clothes, the ironing, and loading the dishwasher.

I empty dishwasher, Hoover (he is doing ti today tho!) and tidy toys/clothes away.

Cooking tends to be DH (he is a chef) but I do try to "help"!

He may work full time, but I class looking after 2 toddlers all day full time work too!

DH cooks and cleans the kitchen, I do laundry and clean the bathroom. Everything else is split 50/50 depending on who's where when.

Before pregnancy, I cooked, DH did the dishes or left them for his Dad to do (when they pick up our dog every day), DH would do the washing and ironing, make my lunch, his mum our cleaning and I might tidy our room and do the bathrooms once in a blue moon. Now I'm preggers, DH cooks, does the dishes, does the washing, the ironing, cleans, fills the cars with fuel, cooks b/fast on the weekend and makes my lunch for work. And sees to his DD when she is staying. Not that I'm lazy, I just can't be bothered. Felt bad the other weekend, so actually put on washing AND hung it out, first time in about 3mths. He still insists on ironing, he loves it and won't let me near it, thank goodness.
