Ha! He was silent for several long moments after I asked him... so I said "is it that difficult to think of even one nice thing about me?!" At which point he laughed nervously and said the following:

caring
smart
emotional... he changed that to "funny" quick fast Grin

I have a quick witted sense of humour.
I always put others first.
I have strong family values.
I'm on the same wavelength as him so I always finish his sentences and vice versa.
I have an amazing smile that makes him happy just to see.

By and large this board attracts posts from those whose relationships are in a state of conflict where asking a question such you've proposed is likely to elicit less than flattering responses.

Those who are conflicted look to responders here for support and advice and what they don't want to read is gushy mush from the loved up who can't stop cooing over each other as it can serve to make them feel infinitely worse about their own relationships, or lack of them.

The '5 nice things' can be an effective tool in couples counsellings but imo you should rephrase your question and post it on AIBU.

Long silence, then I said take the beauty one out and he finished off with...

Yh, I'm still waiting for the for all five!!

Have you read the latest batch of posts, Agent?

I can be as Pollyannaish and probably more so as the next person but the joy of others is no comfort whatsoever to victims of domestic violence and those whose spouses/partners are philanderers/twunts of the first water.

I'll stick with my opinion that this question is best rephrased and posted on AIBU where I suspect it will turn into a classic. Smile
