Do you think sex is to do with love and respect or can it just be removed from the both?

hey - i had a threesome a few years ago (before i was married and pg!) and i didn't regret it for a moment. it was a great laugh, with two people i liked and respected a great deal. personally i would be VERY wary of having a threesome with a man i'd never met.

sex isn't ALWAYS about love but IMO it should always be about mutual respect and also balance. i could warble on about cosmic harmony but i won't.

at the end of the day it is your friend's choice, and all you can do is be there to pick up the pieces afterwards. HTH.

i know a couple who had a threesome. When she woke up in the morning he was banging the other girl.

They split up.

This is a Mars and Venus question. IMO, Men can quite easily separate love/respect from sex whereas as the majority of women cannot, even if they think they can, or set out to.

my relationship with them didn't change, really. it wasn't a planned thing, it just happened.

not sure planned threesomes are ever a good idea.

btw, i am a regular mnetter, but have changed my name for the time being...for obvious reasons!

FWIW, in my past life - before meeting DH - I was able to separate sex from love.

A little too well, in face .

It wasn't something I was able to do right away, it was a skill I learned from being played more than a few times.

As one player I met told me - after we both agreed it was time for him to go home so we could get some sleep (I always slept alone in those days) - 'Players aren't born, they're made.'

theUrbanDryad · 06/11/2006 12:14

hehe - i don't have a troll fixation!

(i am a semi-regular poster - i'm usually found on the "due in jan" threads)

Bugsy2 · 06/11/2006 12:17

Sex is physical. Love is emotional. The two are separable.

sexandallthat · 06/11/2006 12:18

it took me a while to realise that just cause you give a guy a blow job DOESN'T mean he wants to marry you!

i was able to separate love & sex after that but then found that as soon as you "play" men, they get all clingy on you! i mean, wtf is all that about??

think it depends so much on the person...some people can be very emotionally distant (i know i am) and some people can't be. men and women.

For some, they are, Bugsy.

For others, however, they are not. And for those people, I hope for their sakes they don't get burned.
