What a cop out!

JanH · 07/11/2006 19:16

Mind you he hasn't murdered her and put her in his boot yet I spose.

JanH · 07/11/2006 19:20

Then he can chop bits of her off and post them back with demands for money like that crappy twins serial on WH last week.

MrsDoolittle · 07/11/2006 19:21

She's bottled it!

Judy1234 · 07/11/2006 19:27

So the sensible thing she should do is say not a word about it and get on with her life. What is likely to happen is she'll confess. It won't be as exciting if she doesn't leave him. I suppose they'll spin it out for a few weeks.

controlfreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaky2 · 07/11/2006 19:58

my money is on at least months if not years...

Judy1234 · 07/11/2006 23:04

I was disappointed. My vicarious pleasure in their passionate love making all spoilt when she copped out. Anyway who would want to go to bed with a farm hand? I suppose there's the Lady Chatterley / Mellors thing..

joelallie · 08/11/2006 09:54

Disappointed! FGS ...they might have bred!!

Wilbur · 08/11/2006 10:10

Did you see the pic in the Independent yesterday of David, Ruth and Sam? I've only seen the weeny pics on the Radio 4 website before so didn't know what the actors looked like. Sam is not bad looking, wierdly, and no sign of cowpoo or whiskers. But agree he is going to turn into a stalker, deffo.

Judy1234 · 08/11/2006 19:15

Ah, she's dropped him. I expect he might blackmail her in some senses. He's cross at going back to be a hired hand. She should never have led him on.

earlysbird · 08/11/2006 19:39

He will turn nasty (nastier?) I'm sure and she will only have herself to blame when David kicks her out...

Judy1234 · 08/11/2006 22:10

As it looks like he will then she should talk to David now before it becomes a long held secret.

pattilou · 09/11/2006 09:32

This is so great. I keep missing the Archers and now don't have to put up with the smooching noises if I want to find out what's happening. Thanks, guys! Keep posting - the more detail, the better (apart, that is, from the smooching noises...)

joelallie · 09/11/2006 10:24

Did anyone hear it last night? Missed it and have a feeling that it was probably as pivotal as Tuesdays.

holidaymum · 09/11/2006 10:26

yep sam's going to lose it methinks! He was a bit scary last night. You can always do listen again on the bbc!

Judy1234 · 09/11/2006 11:38

I never listen to it live. You just go to bbc.co.uk and can get it whenever you choose. It's brilliant. I can be doing a boring job like bills and whatyever time of day or night listen to Archers, Woman's hour or whatever. I wish we had TV on demand like that too.

WhizzBangCaligula · 09/11/2006 11:41

Oooooooooh noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

(That's my Ruth impression)

pattilou · 09/11/2006 12:11

OK, since we're on the subject of Ruth, can you clear something up for me? DH insists that Ruth's dad had a toilet paper factory. Is this true? Any discussion of this ends with a very bad impression along these lines: "Deeeeeevid, we've roon out of toilet peeeeeper". Still, better than the snogging noises .

Oh yes, Solly the bog roll king - I think he worked there rather than owning it which is a shame, otherwise Ruth would be a bogroll hieress and could flounce out whenever she liked.

God she really didn't think this through, did she - she seemed quite stunned that he was there in her face at Brookfield last night - sorry isn't going to be the hardest word in this relationship.

joelallie · 09/11/2006 12:39

Can't do listen again as I'm at work. Please please please will someone give me a synopsis. Jan - you just whetted my appetite. Might not even be around on Sunday for the Homnibus.....

earlysbird · 09/11/2006 12:43

try this online synopsis you can sign up to get it emailed to you too!

joelallie · 09/11/2006 13:03

Ah thankyou! Sam needs a good kick in the b*llocks.

earlysbird · 14/11/2006 20:40

oh dear oh dear oh dear

JanH · 14/11/2006 20:49

That was a very heavy scene, wasn't it?

V well done I thought (though couldn't hear properly over extractor - must listen again) - they are both excellent actors (apart from Ruth's annoying noises)
