Would you forgive me?

I became friends with a girl that I bumped into on the street once(she was a famous model and is now a writer). We were good friends for years but when I introduced her to my future husband, it was like hate at first site. She said he looked like bad news and he said she was a lesbian(not true). Anyway, after a few months of arguing about my friendship with her, he ordered me to call her and tell her not to contact me again. I have not spoken to her for four years now and am finally rid of the monster. I have tried to contact her but she has moved to another country. I sent an e-mail to her agent but have heard nothing. Would you forgive me if you were her? I truly regret making that phone call.

" became friends with a girl that I bumped into on the street once"

yeah

ledodgyfireworksingedmyeyebrow · 02/11/2006 10:01

I find this a bit strange too because if it is true why is it relevant what this girl does for a living and also a bit weird she just bumped into her on the street and made friends.

expatinscotland · 02/11/2006 10:04

and also b/c there's another thread of hers about exposing a 'loverat' and having sold the story to a 'popular' magazine.

desperateSCOUSEwife · 02/11/2006 10:04

why coz you gave your fella the arse
do you want contact

if she was a friend in the first place
you would not have given her the bullet

if I was your friend I would forgive
but would be very wary of you and see you as an acquaintance

I became friends with a boy I bumped into on the street once (he is now a famous musician and writer).

We were good friends for years but when he was introduced to his future manager, I was traded in for a new model.

I wouldn't want to contact him and am moving to another country.

Je ne regret nien (or something).

expatinscotland · 02/11/2006 10:07

i shagged a man who's famous.

but i'm not friends w/him, no.

i just lived in a hotel room w/him for some days, shagging, sleeping, eating a bit here and there, saying as little as possible and smoking lots of cigarettes.

desperateSCOUSEwife · 02/11/2006 10:09

and I got caught shagging by a famous person once

Dalesgirl · 02/11/2006 10:10

This is so strange. I had a close friend do this to me about 10 years ago. Her boyfriend at the time was feeding her rubbish about me and she belived it, she was hateful towards me and we ended what had been a very long relationship. She did contact me a few years ago and we met, she said she was sorry for the things she had said. We tried to be friends but the moment had gone and it was a lost cause, too much ahd been said. I think that this is a lesson learned, you have contacted her and she has ignored you. That is a sign, surely. There's nothing to forgive, you made a bad decision and it's all yours. Unless of course you were truly awful to her, but then she doesn't sound so great anyway. Maybe this episode will turn up in one of her books and you'll find out that way!

expatinscotland · 02/11/2006 10:11

Did you bump into him on the street, scouser?

I did in fact once shag a man I bumped into on the street.

He was gorgeous. But not a model, no.

He was a drug dealer, though.

TheDaVinciCod · 02/11/2006 10:11

i AM a famous person

you have never sussed though

expatinscotland · 02/11/2006 10:12

Yes, DaVinci re-incarnated as a fish. That would make you very famous indeed .

I am infamous.

TheDaVinciCod · 02/11/2006 10:13

expatinscotland · 02/11/2006 10:15

oliveoil · 02/11/2006 10:30

I am also very famous

I mascquerade (sp??!!) as a bored part time housewife on here to make all you minions feel better

I am really Madonna

ShinyHappyRocketsGoingBANG · 02/11/2006 11:14

Are you also incredibly famous then Morningpaper?

NomDePlume · 02/11/2006 11:18

Yes, I'd forgive you. TBH, she probably suspected you were being 'puppeted' by your ex anyway when you made the call.

Emailing her agent would make you look a bit like a stalkery type, though, imo. Not sure it's the best way re-ignite the friendship.

HuwEdwards makes an excellent point in saying that things may have moved on for her too, though.

TheDivineLiliLaTigresse · 02/11/2006 11:20

lol olive oil
I think somebody likes showing off
see 'Expensicve cosmetics' thread please

wheelsanddollbaby · 02/11/2006 11:22

She has moved out of the UK and has cancelled her original old AOL e-mail account, so apart from trying her brothers old number in Amsterdam, I don't know how else I can get in touch with her. She has already been attacked by a male stalker(why she left the UK), so I don't want to seem like a crazy stalker but if she knew that I was trying to contact her she would know that I'm not.

OP posts:
ShinyHappyRocketsGoingBANG · 02/11/2006 11:30

Is she Kate Moss perchance??

TheDivineLiliLaTigresse · 02/11/2006 11:32

don't think moss can write.....

ShinyHappyRocketsGoingBANG · 02/11/2006 11:33

Well that would explain the silence then!

TheDivineLiliLaTigresse · 02/11/2006 11:33

lol

expatinscotland · 02/11/2006 11:35

No, besides Moss is now loved up w/smackhead Docherty right here in the UK.
Hijack but since you're on this thread, Tigresse, can you find Cetaphil in the UK?

I used to LOVE it but it's plentiful in the US and I haven't seen it here
