Fabulous! Congratulations. How exciting. Have you got a date for the big day?

spook · 26/10/2006 10:47

Well Bugsy2 I would rather just get on with it and do it at Christmas but I think we're looking more like March April time.
When I said Christmas DP's mother went pale at the thought of all the weight she wants to lose!!
The thought of a huge full on wedding scares the shit out of me but DP is catholic and has about 305 cousin in Ireland

Ah, that's lovely Spook. Bet he's glad you said yes after asking you in front of the boys. I would have been tempted to tease him .

spook · 26/10/2006 14:34

Thanks so much all of you. Am now trying to get on with it. Don't want to be a bridezilla. Also don't understand how this can be done for less than 10 grand.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Maybe I should start a "Help me plan my wedding" thread!
We're looking at March/April now.

Congratulations Spook

My BIL is getting married on xmas eve in Canada. They've got everything all for under 10k.
Its taken them a bit of homework and searching but it can be done!

All the best.

tiredemma · 26/10/2006 14:40

you deserve ALL of the happiness in the world

congrats again- looking forward to hearing all of your impending wedding plans on here xxx

NotActuallyAMum · 26/10/2006 14:45

spook I'm getting married next August here . I'm sure you could find a similar hotel in your area. Ours, altogether, is costing about £7.5k - and the honeymoon is 2.5 of that

NotActuallyAMum · 26/10/2006 14:46

Meant to say, we're only having 34 guests during the day but we've got about 120 coming in the evening

peppapog · 26/10/2006 14:47

Have you chosen bridesmaids? best man? dress? venue?

OOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHH how exciting!

multitasker · 26/10/2006 14:49

Congratulations - sometimes our dp's can be the dogs b***ks

spook · 26/10/2006 16:14

Notactuallyamum-that place looks luscious! My problem is that DP really wants a Catholic Ceremony and all those IRISH COUSINS!! Agghh.
I would quite quite happily run away to the Caribbean tomorrow!
Bah humbug..listen to me!
Peppapog-don't really want bridesmaids. Just my two little page boys
And the venue is the biggest headache really.
Gawd knows!
