knobber or crossed wires?

take your votes people.

Second date was arranged for saturday, He cancelled friday due to work, and we re scheduled for today. I had said i was free from 830, he said that was a good plan as he would be up from about 3am, and he was going to let me know when he was on his way, trains come frequently, so, i was to pickhim up. I had a message from him at midnight ish, saying see you tomorrow.

i replied, and he hasnt even see the message yet. I can only assume he is alseep.
he is an hour away at the moment, so, even if he left now ( which he isnt doing) he wouldnt get here till 1045, which i dont think is early.

Is he just a knobber.

or, is there a possibility we have crossed wires somehow?

Did you actually arrange an actual time? Because unless you did it's clearly crossed wires.

CatsClaus · 19/01/2015 09:51

blimey, let the man get his morning coffee and breakfast.

vintagecrap · 19/01/2015 09:51

No.
we just said ' early'

What time crosses the point from early to not early?

OP posts:
vintagecrap · 19/01/2015 09:52

we were meant to be having breakfast together.

Does nobody pick up the phone and actually talk to each other any more??? Messages are a bit hit and miss IME. Not just in the sense of sending and receiving but also understanding.

NeedABumChange · 19/01/2015 09:54

I would call anytime before 3pm early when talking about a date. 2nd date and you want to meet at 9:30am Confused sounds more like a business meeting.

hellsbellsmelons · 19/01/2015 09:56

When was your first date? What day of the week?
He's let you down twice already.
So in answer to your thread title.
KNOBBER!!!

vintagecrap · 19/01/2015 09:57

it was a friday,
he messed about with the timings then. first he was coming at 10 30 ish, then the night before he said 930, then on the day he came at 1120.

wasnt too much of a problem as he at least let me know. thing is, ive not heard from him at all since last night when he said see you tomorrow. He still hasnt got my message i sent at 7am.

and its now 10am.

OwlBeGoing · 19/01/2015 10:02

He wouldn't think you meant 8:30pm would he?

vintagecrap · 19/01/2015 10:03

no, i said monday day time.

he said that was a great idea as he would probably be awake from about 3am.

i dont want to phone him, jesus. if he cant be arsed to get up in time to see me, or even let me know what the hell is going on, then im not going to phone him. i have a bit of dignity.

Is this am or pm I'm a little confused....

Only1scoop · 19/01/2015 10:06

Oh I've just seen ....breakfast and he was getting up at 3am

I'd say he's overslept a wee bit there then.

vintagecrap · 19/01/2015 10:08

am.

he was meant to come early this morning.

as in, for breakfast.

he was meant to let me know what train he was on, but he hasnt and ive not heard from him. I sent him a message at 7AM, which he hasnt even seen. The last time he was on whats app, was 11.58PM last night.

even if he left now, he wouldnt get here till nearly 11.30 AM, to me, that is not early.

CatsClaus · 19/01/2015 10:09

i'd certainly not "probably be up at 3am" if i was texting at midnight.

Get about your business and wait for him to make contact and see what he suggests.

Only1scoop · 19/01/2015 10:10

As this is the second time he has let you down I'd probably call it a day with this one.

kaykayred · 19/01/2015 10:12

Look, I think you are both equally at fault here.

If you want him to be there by a precise time - then you both SET a precise time. One person's "early" is another person's "late". He isn't psychic.

Just agree a set time for gods sake!

If he didn't get to bed until midnight, do you really expect him to be getting up at 3am?????? If he had a shit day yesterday maybe he needs a lie in!

vintagecrap · 19/01/2015 10:13

i phone.

no answer.

Sorry to hear he's doing this Vintage. Hope it's a honest mistake, and he's slept through his alarm.

Quiero · 19/01/2015 10:15

God, all this knowing what time people read messages etc must be hideous for insecure people. Dating must be so complicated nowadays.

I think it's a bit early to judge but if he rearranges again, I'd just call it a day.

Docmartensanddungarees · 19/01/2015 10:18

Sorry to hear this Vintage.

You could try calling, if he's slept in and his phone isn't on silent it'll wake him. Then, if he's genuine, he can be there in time for lunch before the school run.
