How long until you got married?

Dh and I were together for 6.5 years before we got married, now been married for 10.5 years. What about you?
No reason for asking, just nosey.

We'd known each other for 3 yrs, which probably excuses/explains the haste:
June - started going out
July - got engaged
November - got married

We've had nearly 14 years of happy married life since then though, so I make no apologies for our approach.

We knew each other 3 years before we got together, have been together 3 years now, don't live together due to circumstances but we are sickeningly happy.

met 1990 got engaged 1992 split up 1995 got back together 1996 after i nearly married someone else got married jan 2003 got pregnant mar 1993 split up nov 1993 dd born xmas he had married someone else by the end of summer 2004!!

more pissed off about the fact he married someone 6 weeks after meeting her (or so im supposed to think!) took him 13 years to marry me!

We started dating dec95 engaged dec99 married may00. still together with 2 little cherubs (sometimes) aged 4 and 2.

We got engaged after 2 weeks and married after a year.

Met in April, 2002.

Married one month later.

DD1 born nearly 13 months after we married, and DD2 last December.

Still together, still going strong.

got together Jan 92, engaged July 92, married august 95. was never the plan to get married straight away (we were only 21 and 23) but we knew we wanted to. for us getting engaged was when we made our commitment to each other.

Met aged 16 in 1990, got married 8 years later. Time between we finished sixth form, went to seperate univeristites, and then moved in together in 1996. Got engaged Christmas 1996 and married August 1998.

been together 6 years, one baby and still not married and dont think there's any hurry.will prob marry when babs is old enough to enjoy her mummy and daddy getting married.does anyone think this is wrong/good way to see things?

Engaged after 6 months, married after 18 - though would have been twelve if my Mum hadn't stuck her oar in. Just had our 10th anniversary.

we were together for just over a year before we married but in that time, we had dd and moved house (in fact, we got married on the day we moved!). We had a quickie wedding in the registry office and our photos are full of pictures of a beaming dd (aged 4 months!).

met Nov 94, together from Jan 96 (though 9 month break in the middle), engaged July 97, married Sep 98. So 2 and a half years from starting going out to the altar.

Together 11 months married for less than year getting divorced now, 2nd anniversary on Sunday. He was an arse but got two beatufil babies so not all bad I guess
