Recovering from surgery and spending way too much time lurking on here. All these cheating husband threads are naturally making me question if DH could do the same.

I have experience of infidelity as a child of an unfaithful father and have very strong opinions on what the consequences would be should DH ever cheat. He knows this and I have absolutely no interest in checking up on him. If he cheats, he cheats, LTB, move on.

This week I found a random receipt laying around and just checked it was OK to throw it out. It was a water stones receipt for 'a clean break' and for a moment I thought clean break?! I'll give you a clean f*ing break!! He's reading up on how to leave me!

I blame mumsnet for what I did next. I turned detective and did an Amazon search only to find that 'a clean break' is the title of a book about cycling drugs cheating.

It's only the book he's been reading and harping in my ear about and announcing 'fascinating' snippets of information which I really have no interest in.

I blame mumsnet.

Ok ..... and?

mirren3 · 19/10/2014 16:14

That actually made me laugh out loud, hope your recovery is going well.

LineRunner · 19/10/2014 16:15

I didn't laugh out loud.

BIWI · 19/10/2014 16:16

Phew!

HarrietSchulenberg · 19/10/2014 16:17

Ha ha, nice to find a happy (or at least non-dramatic) ending for a change.

handfulofcottonbuds · 19/10/2014 16:20

Lucky you

nevergoogle · 19/10/2014 16:28

I just think if you hang around here too much taking painkillers you start to get drawn in and get a warped sense of reality. nobody I know wears boden or drinks out of jam jars either.

OP posts:
jakesmith · 19/10/2014 16:58

I get the sense that some people are disappointed that they have wasted a few minutes and won't be able to get all angry and shout out 'burn the bastard cheating man'

discophile · 19/10/2014 17:00

what's with the drinking out of jamjars thing?

discophile · 19/10/2014 17:00

I have some Boden!

Rainicorn · 19/10/2014 17:02

I blame MN for my Boden clad third child. My older children never wore bosen.

Rainicorn · 19/10/2014 17:02

*Boden

GiveMeSomethingNiceToEAt · 19/10/2014 17:03

I am too tight to wear Boden. Doesn't mean I won't say ltb if he's a b

noddyholder · 19/10/2014 17:04

I drink out of jamjars mainly water with ribbons of cucumber

handfulofcottonbuds · 19/10/2014 17:07

jakesmith - that's not my tact at all and I never go on affair threads to say LTB, just to offer support to those who are in pain.

I get that this is a jokey thread but I found it a little insensitive, especially with the thread title that was meant to draw people in.

Fixerupperz · 19/10/2014 17:07

Who and why are people drinking out of jars? Are glasses too mainstream?Grin

HouseAtreides · 19/10/2014 17:08

My Kindle is peppered with books about serial killers and murderers. I suppose if DH were ever to have a neb he might think I was getting ideas :)
No Boden here, mostly George. I do eat straight from the pan sometimes which is kind of like drinking from jam jars...

nevergoogle · 19/10/2014 17:22

At least I'm not pulling you in, letting you bare your soul, before mumsnet pull the thread for being entirely fictional.

what I tell you is true, real life, it's not that exciting is it.

let me know when eating fish pie out of the container becomes trendy.

never I am really pleased for you :) It's awful when something like that happens, then you realise it's totally innocent and feel Blush and Smile at the same time!

How's the recovery going?

nevergoogle · 19/10/2014 17:37

Recovery was going well, then I overdid it Friday and am on enforced rest/mumsnetting again. ouch.

nevergoogle · 19/10/2014 17:52

House, I often think that about kindle contents. Mine would be very misleading I think.

ChippingInLatteLover · 19/10/2014 17:54

Oh well, you're stuck with us for a bit longer then. Hope it does take too long until you can get out into the real world again Grin

nevergoogle · 19/10/2014 18:02

by overdid it I mean I rode my bike with baby in a trailer, and did a shop for heavy stuff, and carted the car seat about a bit.
no sense.Blush

That's more than I'd do in a week. I have never drunk out of a jam jar . But I have been very drunk .

Drumdrum60 · 19/10/2014 19:00

I loved those fictional threads. But realised too late .
