Dd2 is five months. Dp and i have had sex a couple of times to test the waters. Really want to again as does OH but parenthood is conspiring against us!

When did it resume for you guys? Or perhaps it didn't... Shock

Too long ago to recall really but think it was as long as 8-9 months. sore, tired and just not in the mood.

Mrsgrumble · 31/07/2014 09:12

About three weeks to a month. I had a csection so not tearing etc.though tiredness was a factor and baby waking several times in the night.

shotyourfox · 31/07/2014 09:26

I'm still waiting (and my youngest is four)...Blush Seriously though hearing them awake or even worse calling out for me or their dad when trying to DTD is the worst thing ever. Get a lock for your bedroom door and maybe some earplugs Grin

MushroomSoup · 31/07/2014 09:28

After about a week...

CripesItsTheGasMan · 31/07/2014 09:35

6 weeks.i had an EMCS though .

WhispersOfWickedness · 31/07/2014 09:42

10 months for DC1, around 6 or 7 months for DC2. As long as everybody is happy, there is no perfect time, just when everybody is ready Smile

maras2 · 31/07/2014 09:48

In the 1970's it was the norm to spend 10 days in hospital following LSCS.By the time I was discharged we were both gagging for it.Not the cleanest but probably the best sex ever.( Unless my memory is somewhat selective )

HappyJustToBe · 31/07/2014 10:00

A year. It took that long for me to face a coil and there was no way we were doing it before then.

Allinson2014 · 31/07/2014 10:06

About three weeks later. I'd had a c section.

Lally112 · 31/07/2014 10:18

The minute he got in from work after the 6 week check with the first one. If it was up to me it would have been sooner but he's prissy about waiting for the 'all clear'. Even had to lie to him last time and tell him I had all clear and its done at 3 weeks now not 6 - he fell for it too.

Keepithidden · 31/07/2014 10:55

Three years and counting...

Keepithidden · 31/07/2014 10:57

Though first DC was five years ago, so regularly it's probably closer to five years...

Keepithidden · 31/07/2014 10:59

If you count difficult pregnancies too, make it 6 years.

Bit bored of waiting now!

Writerwannabe83 · 31/07/2014 12:02

DS is 18 weeks, we haven't had sex yet and I have no urges to do so Grin

DH on the other hand is now passing comments with regards to when we're going to start it up again Grin

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/07/2014 12:04

Very quickly with dd1 and quite quickly with dd2 - before six weeks with both.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/07/2014 12:04

Very gently, I should add!

GailLondon · 31/07/2014 12:07

About 4 weeks for me - after episiotomy and stitches, was all fine by then

SignoraStronza · 31/07/2014 12:08

About five weeks - after c section. Quite regular in the early days but now dd2 is a tty toddler and I'm pregnant again we're plagued by coitus interruptus infantus!

Hopefully · 31/07/2014 13:59

Shock At all you keenos! Grin

It was about 8 months I think the first time (horrendous delivery, took 6 months not to be in pain though), a couple of months the second time (ELCS) and third time it's lack of time rather than anything else dictating how long we wait! DC3 is 4 months...

burgatroyd · 31/07/2014 14:29

Wow! I too am surprised at those gagging for it! I don't mean when you had sex. I mean when you had regular sex?!

Lally112 · 31/07/2014 15:10

No I do mean regular sex, sort of 'once the seal was broken' type thing without TMI. I'm also like that throughout pregnancy and every one of them has increased my libido during all three trimesters.

It must be something to do with the hormones because I'm normally a bitch too but during pregnancy I have an attack of nice or empathy throughout so definitely something hormonal going on.

I got shot down on some other thread about this because I didn't want to wait and other women did but I actually found it harder because he did want to wait. He was worried about the bleeding and infection and blah blah blah that's discussed after birth but I was worried he didn't love me anymore and didn't like my post baby body.

Fairywhitebear · 31/07/2014 15:14

6 weeks ish with both dc's.

Although I'm not that bothered tbh, I'm too knackered! Poor DH is somewhat gutted as keeps referring to how great our sex life was before kids ho hum. It's not loads though, DC2 is 14 weeks and I think we've only done it 3 times tmi. I'm too scared about getting pg again!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/07/2014 15:50

Regular sex, yes. I don't remember how much precisely, as the dc are late teens now, but certainly at least once a week.
