Sex toys to spice things up?

minion123 · 27/11/2013 10:38

I have 2 young children so its hard to find some alone time with my partner. I want things to be spiced up a bit in the bedroom so was thinking sex toys. I have been looking on a few sites and found some cheap sex toys at Strawberry Blushes www.strawberryblushes.co.uk/categories/Cheap-Sex-Toys/. Does anyone have any recommendations for buying sex toys for the first time?

PS. I dont want to spend a fortune at first, want to try it out first. Thanks.

Sex toys does spice up the bedroom, but I would recommend to read up as much as it can go wrong.

Mainly cleaning the products after use, you can catch STI if not cleaned properly.

I normally use forthecloset.co.uk/sex-toys/ , to do my shopping. NHS has vital information about how to clean the products and advice on using sex toys

I believe lelo have just brought out a new toy called the Sona Cruise allegedly very similar to the womanizer w500 which his meant to give an orgasm in a couple minute use (according to Ann Summer shop assistant)

If your sex life is generally good for you both and you simply want to make things less vanilla, I'd say go for it.

But if you have any relationship problems where you or he aren't enjoying sex together much anymore, tread carefully, as they won't heal underlying rifts and may be seen as a criticism or attempt to simply 'go elsewhere' for your satisfaction.

thanks Ordinaryman

Yes it is solely to spice things up in the bedroom, we both enjoy the experience with the toys

Half term?

I love the lelo wand. Browsing LoveHonry together could be a good way to explore. They also do some intro to toys packs which work out as good deals.

With other posters here. Cheap toys aren't worth it.

Mainly cleaning the products after use, you can catch STI if not cleaned properly.

You could get plenty of nasty things from uncleaned sex toys, but unless one of you has an STI, you can’t catch one of those.

We also have the large wand another great toy from Lelo

Try lovehoney, if you don't get on with what you choose you can return it up to 12 months later

Voice0fReason · 17/10/2017 23:09

Lovehoney is by far the best place to buy. Their money back guarantee means you can try anything without worrying that you've wasted your money.
Most toys can easily be washed with mild soap and water.

Hi Maisypops

I agree that the Lelo brand is absolute quality, we prefer to purchase that brand than any of cheaper ones, Quality does cost a lots more but you gets what you pay for lol
