come hither!

OP posts:
jynier · 16/08/2013 00:41

... there were just three of us in the beginning! Grew for a while but maybe peeps don't need the small-hours company any more! It's a good thing, of course, but I'd like to know how everyone fared!

No response from our dad and I pm'd him last night!

cafe is always good company, despite her awful trials in life!

MrsBottesini · 16/08/2013 00:49

nocturnal people are always complicated Wink No actually their lives are. None of us are exactly normal without stress are we Grin

sigh. I keep saying I want a normal and boring life. But I would probably need to live in a childproof soundproof cardboard box for that Grin

MrsBottesini · 16/08/2013 00:50

jynier d'you think Dad and Kitty have eloped together?

jynier · 16/08/2013 01:10

Unlikely, given their circumstances! Think that our dad has probably found himself a new partner! Just don't know what has happened to kitty!

Would like to be assured that everyone is ok!

SummerDad · 17/08/2013 01:02

Ping Grin.

cafecito · 17/08/2013 03:10

Grin Daaaad!!!

jynier · 17/08/2013 04:33

Oh well, cafe! Our dad hadn't left us completely, after all!

MrsBottesini · 17/08/2013 08:34

yayyy!
were your ears burning dadGrin

themidwife · 17/08/2013 12:16

Daddy!! Smile

themidwife · 17/08/2013 12:17

Ok now we just need to send out some major Kitty vibes!

SummerDad · 17/08/2013 23:21

Cafe, Jynier, themidwife, MrsBottesini !

I hope everyone is doing well. Sorry for being so reclusive but I have missed you all. During those restless and sleepless moments you have been really a lovely support for me. I can't leave this thread ever I am sure this is the only thread place where I get so much feminine attention after all Wink.

Nothing much has changed really, may be I am getting old and get too much tired after work and just collapse as I hit the sack, well most of the nights Smile.

It would be lovely to have one of those sleepless party nights once again though Smile.

jynier · 18/08/2013 00:07

Er and ahem! You didn't really attend dad! Seem to recall that you were not pleased about disgraceful behaviour from some on the thread!!!
Trying to find an emoticom for "beady eye focussing on one (or two) particular person(s)!" There isn't such a thing!

It was cafe who lowered the tone!!!

SummerDad · 18/08/2013 00:17

lol jynier, still it was wonderful I kept on snooping on the thread you know :P but it is good to have you guys around.

SummerDad · 18/08/2013 00:17

At one point, I started to feel I was getting addicted to being here so it was better to taper off lol.

cafecito · 18/08/2013 00:39

it wasn't me, it was the butler!

cafecito · 18/08/2013 00:40

Yes I thought about quitting too, like in AA 12 steps to NOMUMSNETMIDNIGHTTHREADS aaaaah

good to hear from you, Dad! Smile how is everything?

SummerDad · 18/08/2013 00:44

lol @ butler. What's up doc how is your son and studies and all whatever you keep doing in your 26 hours day :)

some ole same ole :) Nothing much changed really.

cafecito · 18/08/2013 00:50

same here Grin I never sleep, and my son is getting taller, and I am fretting about him a lot as he was bullied at his nursery and I am rescuing him, and changing his nursery to one in C.London, which will mean lots of early starts and quite a few missed hospital late shifts Hmm and so on and will be with him by myself so shall need to learn how to study when he is in bed. I am now doing 3 degrees too Confused as have started a new masters.. which is both costly and mad, but y'know.. and med school is rather tricky at times and the source of much stress. and I miss my job. and I clearly miss punctuating my sentences appropriately Smile no hols planned, am too studenty for that, but am buying a bike to transport DS around with (eek) in the London rush hour...

jynier · 18/08/2013 01:12

Just dropping in! Are you serious, cafe? Three degrees??? How on earth can this be achieved by one person, let alone a single mum? Am in awe!

cafecito · 18/08/2013 01:42

it hasn't been achieved Confused [worried] this is why I procrastinate and never sleep and have biscuits for supper

cafecito · 18/08/2013 01:44

don't be in awe, be telling me I am ridiculous! It's just that one of them, is my subject of interest, RG university, really amazing I got a place to do it, doing it in my own time and they are okay with me doing med, the other is one I started and did half of (and time limit to finish) exams soon and dissertations etc but should finish by may if I carry on. They are both irrelevant to my medical degree, but I fear I am jeopardising my chances with that by taking on too much other stuff (+ 2 jobs...)

cafecito · 18/08/2013 01:45
jynier · 18/08/2013 03:41

I. am. in. awe. cafe!

jynier · 18/08/2013 03:56

Phew, kitty! Has taken ages to find you! Are you ok?

You were on the thread so frequently that we all die-hard insomniacs became very worried! Hope that all is well with you and yours!

Best wishes to you all, x
