how long til you got married?

Just wondering really, started seeing a guy and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna end up marrying him!

How long were you with your boyfriend/girlfriend before you got married?

Im dying to hear loads of happy stories!

11 years. Met young though.

Met November 2001, starting dating April 2003 (I wasn't interested, DH was persistent), moved in September 2004, engaged December 2007, married July 2009. So quite a long time, but it was always on the cards. DH told me he loved me on our second date. I didn't take him seriously!

We had been together 3 years, but we decided to get married 4 days after we met each other

That was over 8 years ago, and two children later we are v.happy.

We met, got engaged after 5 months, married after 11 months!

engaged after 8 weeks, married within 9 months and been together for 10 years now...

Pregnant after five months.
Then a house.
Then another baby.
Married exactly five years after meeting.... We were busy.

Well, it's been 33 years so far......

Got engaged 5 months in and will have been together just over 18 months when we marry. We knew each other a bit before through mutual friend and are in our 30s so have had a lot of 'experience' to base our judgement on

We were together two and a half years when we got married and found out we had conceived dc1 the day before our fourth wedding anniversary.

We only moved in together two months before marriage, as before that we were living in different countries, apart from the first six months of our relationship.

I think I'm going to win this one. Met DH last week of Jan. Married mid-May. Five years ago now. (Very romantic I know but also incredibly disruptive in an emotional sense! Don't know that I'd recommend it.)

Will be roughly 4 years when we get married. That feels weird as it will be my longest relationship ever (quietly confident here! However the only other one which lasted this long had already gone wrong by now so...)

I also had a "feeling" early on with DP. I hope it works out for you :) just watch out for those red flags, as a whirlwind, sweep you off your feet romance is one.

Moved in after 3 months. Got engaged after just short of a year and a half married a year later.

Got married in Feb, found put I was pregnant at the end of April, our son was born in December. No messing about here :)

3 1/2 years. We were only engaged for 3 months and had known each other 3 years before we started a relationship. Now married nearly 19 years.

Engaged after 9 months, married after 2 years :) Been married for 5 years now.

Engaged within a year, married after two years; 13 years this year.

Found a friend of a mutual friend's photo after we got together in 2001 and realised we had met each other in 96 as we were both in the same picture. We got engaged 2004 and married 2006. Our mutual friend was bridesmaid.

DH and I met and 3 months later moved in together. Got married 18 months later. Had our 18th wedding anniversary last month.

Marries after a year and a half

We got engaged after 6 years and married after 8. I think everyone is different and things like age, religion, both your working/job situations makes a difference. I love how all relationships are different!

Moved in together after 3 months (although TBH I just never bothered going home pretty much from day 1), and married after 4 years.

Engaged after 3 weeks, married 10 months after our first date :)
