You had been to a committee meeting and had a drink afterwards in a pub with the comittee and then walked the 10 minute journey home with a male committe member at 9.45pm?

Just a yes or no will do.

My ds was annoyed and I think he over reacted, he says he doesn't know this man and he could be a rapist.

zippitrippitoes · 02/05/2006 17:50

just asked dp and to my surprise he said yes and depending how good looking he was!

ItalianJob · 02/05/2006 17:52

No. DH is very unimaginative about such things.

Greensleeves · 02/05/2006 17:53

DH said "Erm....... no. Why?" Grin

poppadum · 02/05/2006 17:53

no, and if he did, I would tell him to grow up.

HunKeRMunKeR · 02/05/2006 17:53

He wouldn't be, but if the situation was reversed adn I didn't know the woman I would probabaly not be too happy about it

How's that for honesty!!

but I am a very jealous person Blush

FrannyandZooey · 02/05/2006 18:00

No, but then it would not occur to dp to be annoyed if I went out one evening, phoned him saying I was staying the night with a male friend and then didn't come home till midday. Well, it would annoy him now, because he would have to look after ds. But not otherwise. I think your dh is jealous. And I feel a little bit jealous that he was :(

Greensleeves · 02/05/2006 18:00

That was what my dh said "I bet if it was the other way round you would mind"

He's right, I would harp on about it for ever Blush

sparklemagic · 02/05/2006 18:57

no..

ItalianJob · 02/05/2006 18:59

F & Z - think we must have the same husband Grin. Mind you, having someone close to me married to a control freak who lambasts her for saying hello if she chances across a male colleague socially tends to cure me of any real desire for DH to show a bit of jealousy!

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 02/05/2006 19:10

WigWamBam · 02/05/2006 19:15

Dh wouldn't be annoyed, as long as I felt I knew and trusted the man. It wouldn't matter if it was someone dh knew or not, as long as I felt comfortable with him.

tribpot · 02/05/2006 19:15

Nope.

sixtwosix · 02/05/2006 19:34

hulababy · 02/05/2006 19:36

If it was someone I knew, then no - he'd be more liekly to be pleased someone had walked home with me when it was late and getting/already dark.

If it was someone I didn't know, he'd not be too happy as he'd be concerned about safety.

Yorkiegirl · 02/05/2006 19:39

think of the money you saved. A 10 minute walk is nothing. Your DH should be pleased the committee member didn't leave you to walk home alone!

starlover · 02/05/2006 19:43

no, he wouldn't be annoyed

PanicPants · 02/05/2006 20:03

Oh yes mine would.
