Oh god you had me going there Nora when I saw that on the 'threads I'm on' view! haha

OP posts:
lubeybooby · 05/02/2013 19:03

Flipper I agree with the others as well... swerve it if you can

Snapespeare · 05/02/2013 19:10

velvet he's ok if he has notice, he can rest up the day before any (cough!) physical exertion (cough!) and then be dormouse-ing the next day.

I'd ruin him.

Hmm

lubey you and TT sound lovely. I know it's desperately trying to find a silver lining (I do this) but it seems his support in this has been welcome and rather lovely.

KinNora · 05/02/2013 19:10

Absolutely give the meeting a miss, Flipper, if it's anything like my work then the meetings are frequently a load of inconsequential bollocks anyway ( sorry if you're actually a Chief Exec and I've just dismissed your whole career ).

Soz, Lubey, now sprats, that's another thing altogether - they're bastards

KinNora · 05/02/2013 19:12

Snapes, courier him a load of multivitamins and Lucozade over and when he asks why just casually say ' oh no reason, Nameless, no reason at all...'

VelvetSpoon · 05/02/2013 19:16

I think in that case Snape give him another few days, and then suggest something. But hopefully in the meantime he will take the initiative and you won't need to. I find if I have 'a plan' it makes me feel better than if I'm just waiting around (even though I am still waiting around, if that makes sense...)

Sorry, lack of conversation/food over the last 3 days has addled my brain.

I have however just eaten 3 jaffa cakes and apart from a slightly gripey tummy feel fine, so I declare myself recovered! :)

lubeybooby · 05/02/2013 19:19

Snape he has indeed been lovely. Attentive, concerned, gentle, practical, the perfect gentleman. I am looking forward to a cuddle in my nuclear protection MN and he, I am sure, are the only reasons I am ok.

OP posts:
lubeybooby · 05/02/2013 19:21

Nora, I agree, bastards

and :o @ the lucozade. I have an image in my head of snape whistling innocently when he asks about it...

OP posts:
lubeybooby · 05/02/2013 19:23

Velvet glad you are feeling better and I agree about having a plan.

OP posts:
Flipper924 · 05/02/2013 19:30

Yay! For the curative effects of Jaffa cakes!

I third the plan idea, Snape.

Lubey, TT does sound amazing. I know you weren't looking for a relationship with him, but once you're out the other end of this, do you think there could be more to it?

Nora, I am nowhere near chief exec status, buFCC am friends with our chief exec, and I think she'd probably agree with you. She is also desperate to get me hooked up, so once all of this is over, I shall be giving her a call!

Have fun, then, Juliette!

VelvetSpoon · 05/02/2013 19:31

Thanks Lubey, I am ridiculously relieved to be feeling better, as I can now allow myself to start thinking about Friday Grin, even though I'm not sure I should get too excited as I've heard nothing from Cuthbert since Saturday - though given the infrequent nature of his texting, that isn't at all unusual!

Really really glad TT is being a great support to you. Like Snape said, it is sort of a silver lining for a v cloudy situation. Am thinking of you both. And you really are amazing for still being able to give all of us advice despite having so much going on yourself :)

Flipper well neither of us want anything heavy still, but we have talked about it a little bit. He said he has realised since meeting me that he needs to sort his life out a bit time wise but reckons we could see each other about every 2- 3 weeks. That's about the same as with BC so I said well actually that's perfect and he isn't moving to hongfuckingkong so yeah I don't think anyone should buy a hat but I would like to keep seeing him. And him me. So that's nice. And also good to know why he can be a bit quiet with contact sometimes too and have that sorted.

Awww velvet - thank you. I really really need the distraction of this thread though so it's no trouble and really doing me a favour tbh.

I could be wrong but I think Jaffa Cakes are sometimes included in the dietary recommendations for professional sportsmen, therefore they must be some kind of miracle health food.

Oooh Flipper, give me a heads up if you move to Hertfordshire.

KinNora · 05/02/2013 19:43
VelvetSpoon · 05/02/2013 19:45

Lubey you're welcome!

Kin, I like the idea of Jaffa Cakes being a miracle health food. I may even have a 4th as they are clearly good for you :)

lubeybooby · 05/02/2013 19:48

Oh what have I missed about Mr Morning?

OP posts:
lubeybooby · 05/02/2013 19:49

Got it! Good luck Juliette!

OP posts:
VelvetSpoon · 05/02/2013 19:54

Good luck from me too Juliette! :)

Snapespeare · 05/02/2013 20:03

Oh! Text from nameless! He's caught a bug, but nibbling the biscuits I left behind and thinking about seeing me again is keeping him smiling.

The thread needs sunglasses. I have a huge grin that will burn onto retinas.

KinNora · 05/02/2013 20:08

I reckon the bug, if it's the same one Velvet and I have had, is running RIOT throughout the south east. Poor Nameless. (best add glucose tablets and Jaffa Cakes to the shopping order, Snape)

AndLibbyMakesThree · 05/02/2013 20:09

Aw Snape that's so sweet.

Flipper, I'm sorry that the scan wasn't conclusive, and am crossing everything that things work out well for you. And yet another vote for avoiding that meeting - you really don't need that extra stress.

Juliette, good luck and don't forget to report back!

Lubey, you're amazing.

Snapespeare · 05/02/2013 20:11

It's entirely possible he might need a bed bath.

With my tongue.

Blush
VelvetSpoon · 05/02/2013 20:28

If he's got the bug I had I feel sorry for him, it's wiped me out (today is the first day I've been up since Sunday, walked to shop then had to have a lie down when I got back!) glad you're smiling though Snape.

I've had a little flashback to Cuthbert kissing my hand in the taxi home on Friday and feel all swoony Blush (much as I did at the time tbh). Slightly wishing Friday wasn't still 3 days away...

(I did warn you smitten me was irritating, trust me it's only going to get worse!)

lubeybooby · 05/02/2013 20:28

Snape aww what a lovely message from him!
