It's the best I could come up with Grin

As you were...

OP posts:
fayster · 21/10/2012 08:48

Yay, Western! Sounds like he's moving forwards!

Snape, I'll be waiting on tenterhooks. I so hope you get the result you're after.

You're very brave, Sponge, I don't think I could go on telly. It would be a fantastic way of getting 'out there', though, even if you didn't end up with a date from the programme.

Watch, your dog sounds lovely. I don't think I could have got through the last 2 years without mine. I call him a Pup still, but he'll be 10 in November. When I think of him being old it makes me well up, so I've told him he's to live forever.

Good morning to everyone else!

EiePie · 21/10/2012 09:09

Morning everyone

Fantastic news West, so pleased for you! Thinking of you Snape how are you feeling about it all today?

As of last night, currently 'chatting' to 4 new chaps on OD. Good grief, this is hard work sometimes.

Happy Sunday!

watchoutforthatsnail · 21/10/2012 09:11

me too fayster.

and western - wooooooo!!! :) thats fantastic, bet you are walking on air today. All sounds like its going really well. enjoy it :)

watchoutforthatsnail · 21/10/2012 09:15

anyone with potential pie?

OhWesternWind · 21/10/2012 09:33

Just catching up with the thread - posted without reading last night.

Snape the notebook is so gorgeous and personal. You're really opening yourself up there which I think is so brave. But would it be easier just to ask him in case he doesn't get/understand the notebook? His reaction to the artwork as art is going to be different to his reaction to the message underneath, and I'm worried there is potential for misunderstanding here. The notebook is something with so much depth and beauty it's going to take time to realise all it's saying. Or maybe that's a load of nonsense .. Wishing you all the luck in the world whatever you do.

Pie found any possibles?

I am just grinning like a loon this morning. Need to stop before anyone notices. Can't stop thinking about him, don't want to, want to stay calm and controlled but I don't feel that way at all. Absolutely on the samIe wavelength in bed - possibly the best sex I've ever had. Well, no possibly about it. Grin

EiePie · 21/10/2012 09:38

Well, let's see....one guy, no way but he made me laugh out loud! I'm into aircraft (me and my anorak!) and he sent me a photo of himself in Aviator glasses and a drawn on moustache calling himself Wing Commander! Lol! I think he's a bit too 'off beam' for me (good looking tho) but best laugh I've had for a while. One looks nice but is 50 miles away. He wanted to know if that was too far so I suggested we meet up and see if there's any potential - he's up for that. One guy is about 8 miles away but a bit older, so I'll chat again today and see where it goes. The fourth I've been chatting to for a while now, seems nice (except that he has a Subaru Impreza! Deep sigh!) but hasn't suggested a date or phone call yet. 3 on Match and one on POF. When I go to sign of for my JSA next week, I wonder if I can put 'OD' as my 16 hours a week employment!? Don't worry, it's not reallllly that long! :)

OhWesternWind · 21/10/2012 09:45

Why no to the Wing Commander? Good laugh, good looking - worth a quick coffee surely?

Fifty miles would be difficult long-term but depends I suppose whether it's quick motorway miles or fifty 30mph zone miles ... Scooby Man no way! (Extreme prejudice as one of the blue ones crashed through my garden wall when I was nine months pg, went into labour the next day! Been known as Wall Cars in our family ever since).

EiePie · 21/10/2012 09:56

Wing Cmdr sent me this late last night Personally I prefer Spaghetti. I wouldn't pay good money to look at most dishes although it has worked out that way in some restaurants xx I have no idea what this is about! Think he must have been smoking tea-leaves or something. We weren't even talking about food/restaurants! I know what you mean about the 'Scooby Man', I've been out with a guy with one before and there seems to be a certain mentality to guys with cars like that....however.....the guy does work with helicopters and I lurve helicopters! (Shallow, Moi! Never!)

snapespeare · 21/10/2012 10:03

western Grin < that's your face that is. Wink

pie that all sounds hopeful. Agree with western re the miles, but nothing ventured.

Two potential flatmates today, one at one, one at six. Don't know how I feel today other than a bit miserable because I have a cold. Going to pop to the gym, then flatmate one, then promised DS2 I'd take him ice skating, then flatmate 2 at 6pm and free eBay listing day. Too busy to worry too much about PM.

EiePie · 21/10/2012 10:16

Oh, and just a quick note before I got and get stuck into RL, spied MrLocal yesterday - ewwwww! Wouldn't have fancied him even if he hadn't got rather a lot of screws loose!

Later p'taters!

hatesponge · 21/10/2012 10:43

snape good luck with potential flatmates for today - hope they both want room (and are good enough to live with you) then you can start a bidding war :)

MadameO I have accepted! Also I had a look on GSM and saw a couple of potentials, one of whom has now 'liked' me after seeing I've viewed him. Which I suppose might be a good sign...

fayster I don't think I'm brave, stupid maybe and a bit desperate but not brave! scatty if I did get picked and they offered to do my teeth I would make sure that anything I signed included full aftercare etc, as a lawyer I would be thoroughly scrutinising the small print which is probably why they wouldn't pick me

Nothing STILL on MSF by the way. Meanwhile according to FB, ScaredofPeas is taking some chav girl out today to buy her a Mulberry bag Hmm I only got an evenings drinks, clearly went wrong somewhere!

snapespeare · 21/10/2012 11:59

One o clock has cancelled! What the actual FUCK IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?! Grrrrrr!

I need a shag gin!

FateLovesTheFearless · 21/10/2012 12:39

Afternoon all Smile

Snape - I don't think the notebook needs over thought. You made him a birthday present, give it to him and let him react however he is going to react. I think he will understand the thought process behind it. Good luck with the potential flat mate today Smile

Sponge - go for the tv show! What have you got to lose?

Ohwestern - Grin glad everything is going well for you!

Knackard this afternoon, just woke up Hmm had a late one with NL, another mate of his and a mate of ours from college, lots of wii playing and a tad too much kopperberg Confused meant to be going ice skating shortly but can't see it happening at the moment!

hatesponge · 21/10/2012 14:16

Snape - 3rd time lucky re new flatmate hopefully? :)

Fate - hope the head feels better soon!

I've applied. Now to wait...

The MSF update: still no messages, and no-one has favourited me. However the soldier rang me 5 times this morning and I ignored him, which I suppose is some progress though I was tempted Hmm

Yogagirl17 · 21/10/2012 14:16

Hi all! Thinking of you snape. Western - woo hoo!!!

Someone new on OKC who might have potential...we'll see.

Off to the park, back later.

Yogagirl17 · 21/10/2012 14:17

See sponge - the soldier & scaredofpeas have tried to get in touch. Neither one of them is worth your time or effort but in some cases it's not that you couldn't get a second date, just that you didn't want one.

hatesponge · 21/10/2012 14:34

Yoga :) in fact the soldier and I have never met, he just phones me every so often in the hope I will let him come round for sex. I suspect his persistence is only due to my continuing refusal, if I said yes I'd never see him again!

snapespeare · 21/10/2012 15:04

the chronological notebook

You may need a Brew more probably a fuck ton of Wine.

MadameOvary · 21/10/2012 16:16

Fucking hell Snape.
Promise me that you many many hi-res photos and will sell them to the highest bidder if worst-case scenario happens (hope it doesnt!). It would actually be a crime not to share that with the wider world. So breathtakingly beautiful.

MacAndCheese · 21/10/2012 16:18

Snape that's truly beautiful. I'm viewing it on my phone, but I'll be peering at it on my pc later needs glasses, in denial

MacAndCheese · 21/10/2012 16:20

Where did you find all of your quotes? I know some of them are Dr Who. Smile

snapespeare · 21/10/2012 16:23

Some are DW (geek alert!) there are quotes he's sent me in emails, chunks of Shakespeare we recite when hammered, songs we sing in the car, books I've read because he's recommended them, his favourite bands... a few are not-yet-known to him but seem apt (the Berlioz, dr suess, Cs Lewis) some are my favourites (am on a huge Vincent Van Gogh kick at the mo...) I found 'thinkexist' a huge help for quotes. :)

snapespeare · 21/10/2012 16:24

and Blush thank you.

EiePie · 21/10/2012 19:12

It's a fantastic work of art Snape! :)

watchoutforthatsnail · 21/10/2012 19:38

snape - that is lovely. truely.
He cant fail to get it. the end is clever too ' im telling you, cant you read'
i hope he falls at your feet
