Sounds amazing. Why?

izzyizin · 10/10/2012 23:54

If you're staying in a 'beautiful hotel', what's the point of spending it in one room when there'll be childfree bars, fancy restaurants, spas/swimming pool, etc and there may be grounds/gardens to explore, etc.

As for spending the weekend in bathrobes, I believe in travelling light but slobbing around in a bathrobe is something you can do at home and I prefer to dress for the occasion of being undressed.

Kingcyrolophosarus · 11/10/2012 00:07

All hypothetical
Im just trying to see how excited you would be at the thought of making love all weekend, no stresses, no kids

Been there, done it, and will no doubt do it again but not in a bathrobe! Silk robe for relaxing and receiving room service between takes, as it were, and dressing for dinner is my preference.

blackcurrants · 11/10/2012 01:17

oh god, that sound ssooo good.

We'd get to sleep a lot, right? And order room service?

Where do I sign up?

I'd be delighted! Room service, hot baths and shagging ...

justbogoffnow · 11/10/2012 02:52

Lovely. Delicious breakfast, read lots of newspapers, visit interesting place locally, have lunch, read more papers, afternoon tea, a snooze, dinner and bed. All revolves around food, but we'd squeeze in a cuddle Smile.

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 11/10/2012 03:00

We used to do it a lot but with dc3 on the way alas it is but a fond memory

GiserableMitt · 11/10/2012 03:58

We're planning on doing that in about 6 months time for about 4 days.

Bertrude · 11/10/2012 05:36

No kids, no work stress, just each other for a weekend?

Sounds like sleepy time rather than anything else!

Offred · 11/10/2012 07:12

We try to do this for our anniversary each year and it is normally closest to what izzy describes.

Offred · 11/10/2012 07:12

Definitely see it as a treat!

Vagaceratops · 11/10/2012 07:17

As long as DH didn't take his bloody Iphone then it would be heaven.

PurplePidjin · 11/10/2012 07:35

Sounds like heaven - 7 weeks till PFB is scheduled to arrive!

perplexedpirate · 11/10/2012 07:43

Yes please. Our bags are packed. Which station do we leave from?

TheDoctrineOfSnatch · 11/10/2012 07:49

Sounds good, yes. Though would probably pop out fur the odd museum/pub visit...

surroundedbyblondes · 11/10/2012 07:58

Wonderful!

lubeybooby · 11/10/2012 08:01

I just did that last weekend in fact. Fantastic!

Only left the room for dinner the first night and breakfast in the morning. Got room service the rest of the time.

OscarPistoriusGirlfriend · 11/10/2012 08:05

Sounds bliss. We're away for a couple of nights in November! GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Kingcyrolophosarus · 11/10/2012 18:22

I think I'd just rather have a cup of tea Sad

maleview70 · 11/10/2012 18:38

It's certainly not everyone's cup of tea king!

My wife sometimes says thing like, why don't we just go away and stay in bed all weekend? When we do on the rare occasion, she just sleeps all weekend so she isn't lying about the bed bit!

KatieScarlett2833 · 11/10/2012 18:41

Will be doing just that at the beginning of December. No birthday, anniversary, etc. Just because Grin

AllPastYears · 11/10/2012 18:51

Sorry, sounds v v boring!

SugariceAndScary · 11/10/2012 18:51

Am I reading this the way I think I am?

A lovely hotel with no kids and is dh expecting a return to the days of spontaneous morning sex and afternoon delight where your thinking is along the lines of making use of the fab spa, massages and gorgeous food amongst the long country walks?
