I am supposed to be going out on a date on Sunday with a guy I met last week. So far all our conversations have been via FB but on Wednesday he gave me his mobile number. We dedn't speak yesterday so at about 8.10pm today I text him saying "How are you?" almost immediately he text back saying "Who is this?". I had forgotten at this point that I hadn't actually given him my number Blush. So I said "it's MarmiteandJam". Since then, nothing and it's now 10pm.

I'm obviously not going to text again but what should I do? What if he doesn't contact me? Should I cancel the date?

So, Mnetters, an update!! Had a fable time. Met for a drink, chatted like we'd known eachother for ages. Then went for a lovely meal, another drink and then to the 24 hour casino to play a bit of roulette. Had a right laugh and didn't get back til after 1am. He's already asked to see me again!! Wanted to give him a big snog but was a good girl and limited it to a hand hold and a peck on the cheek in the taxi!!

Am watching with interest and living vicariously through you. You get to the point where you just can't be arsed with the bullshit don't you!

marmiteandjam · 16/01/2012 21:04

Oh and incidentally, during the date he insisted on showing me the text that he sent on Friday in reply to mine that didn't send. He said that he sent it, then didn't check that it had sent and then didn't look at his phone again til about midnight when he thought it was too late to send again in case he woke me. The message had "failed" next to it and was timed at about 8.25pm on Friday the 13th so was definitely genuine.

Well??!

marmiteandjam · 25/01/2012 15:01

I didn't write anything as I thought no-one was interested Sad

It went BRILLIANTLY!!!! We met for in the town centre and got a takeaway coffee which we took up to the seafront and then sat and chatted for ages. We then went for lunch and that was great too. Got along brilliantly. Afterwards, we went and had a poke around some antique shops before going for another coffee.

Whilst we were out he asked me out again for Friday. We are going to see War Horse and going for a meal Grin
