  1. he makes me laugh on a daily basis
  2. he puts up with my erratic sex drive coping with total lack of sex for weeks on end to needing it 3 times a day (without -much- complaint)
  3. he's a much better cook than me
  4. rarely brings up his PHD as doesn't want to embarrass me about my one level -in home economics-
  5. pretends to love the dog as much as I do even though he is really a cat person

I love my DP because:

  1. He is lovely inside and outside. One of the truly good guys, he is trustworthy, honest, loyal, caring and supportive - as well as tall and gorgeous.
  2. He is my rock. At any crisis or turning point in my career, dealing with my mad family or other problem - he has stood by my side, listened, comforted, advised and supported unfailingly. He has kept me sane, then cheered me up and made sure I was ok.
  3. He is just as soppy and romantic as me. He's not afraid to tell me he loves me - and does so every day. He is demonstrative and doesn't shut me out. We never sleep on an argument and we never drag things up that happened 50million years ago!!
  4. He is the BEST kisser in the world. I go weak-kneed every single time
  5. We have the same moral compass and set of beliefs. Although we are different religions and nationalities, I feel we are only complete together.

Put simply, otherwise I'll be here all night...
I love him to pieces. He's a fab hubby, friend, lover and of course, father to our children. I couldn't imagine life without him and don't want to.
With him I feel we can take on anything.

I am one very lucky girl ....

Love this thread Smile
I love my Fiancé because:

  1. He makes me laugh so hard I cant breathe
  2. Because he doesn't tell me what I want to hear, wrong or right he loves me anyway
  3. Together we made 2 beautiful children
  4. After 8 years my heart still beats faster when I see him
  5. He is beautiful inside and out in everyway.

I know how lucky I am

EyeoftheStorm · 16/01/2012 21:49
  1. He is a kind man.
  2. People like him immediately (I'm more of a slow-burn so find this fascinating).
  3. He stands up for his family (when DS2 was in SCUBU he pushed for the care he needed when I was a broken mess) and there is no one I would rather have in my corner.
  4. I don't mind delays for trains or in airports because he always has something interesting to tell me.
  5. He thinks I'm wise and trusts my judgement.

I could go on. If my boys take after him, I'll be so happy and I'm glad my daughter will know what a decent man should be.

Gooshka · 16/01/2012 23:01

Oh, here goes ....

  1. He brings me a coffee every morning in bed (even when he has to go to work and i have a day off!) because he knows I am crap at getting up.
  2. He always tells me I'm gorgeous even when I look like a bag of shit.
  3. He puts up with my PMS and mood swings!
  4. He makes a cracking seafood paella.
  5. He makes me laugh every single day!

  1. He is a fundamentally good man who I profoundly trust
  2. He makes me laugh
  3. He is a cuddle monster
  4. He is an utterly awesome dad
  5. He is astonishingly sexy legs and arse. Just thinking about them makes me smile.
BubbaliciousBear · 18/01/2012 20:31

In no particular order...

  1. He always does the washing up and hoovering - not because he loves it, but because he knows it aggravates my back pain
  2. He loves a good bitch and moan with me and can make me laugh so much I've been known to wee myself
  3. He is a fab dad - he even manages to still have a really good relationship with DD who is 16!
  4. He is a big, rough, tough bloke on the outside and a great big softie on the inside....who cries at films even more than I do
  5. He loves me. Unconditionally. Nothing better than that.

  2. HE is gorgeous and always tells me I am too, even when I am clearly looking awful.
  3. He is a great father
  4. He is ambitious and wants us all to have interesting lives
  5. We have similar ideas of a good time.
BuenTiempo · 19/01/2012 18:14
  1. been together 30 years and who else would put up with me
  2. works really hard and never complains
  3. we share everything, good and bad
  4. when my dad died, he was a complete rock to depend on
  5. supported me in every way while i went back to university
expatnow · 19/01/2012 18:41
  1. When I have post drunken remorse after the rare night out he makes me feel better by pointing out who was more drunk than I.
  2. he is my best friend and the person I want to share my news with first (good or bad).
  3. When I had my DD we both were in hospital- me in the ward and she in SCBU. He left my hospital room after visiting hours and a few hours later I noticed his motorcycle parked outside. It was there until well after 1am.
  4. He thinks I'm the best. Even if I am annoying (I often am).
  5. He just tried to read this and when I told him to go away he said " but we don't have any secrets". And it's true.
BettyPerske · 10/03/2012 20:45

Oh I think this needs bumping like the other one!

Okay here goes.

Ummm....well his confidence.
The way he can handle anything and everything and never show any weakness, though I know he is afraid sometimes

The way he is so direct with me
Of course his body and his beautiful face, but even without that beauty he would be superb
The way he just says Right, let's do this, takes me with him, includes me in everything, without questioning whether we should be together or not, we just are.
I love that.
And his gentleness and protectiveness of me. No one has been protective of me before, I don't think, not ever.

So that's my five or so. I hope he'd approve.

BettyPerske · 10/03/2012 20:46

Oh and Brilliant, brilliant in bed, he would want me to say that but I would anyway!

Goingcrazy · 10/03/2012 22:03
  1. He makes me laugh at least once every day
  2. He kisses me when he leaves every morning and kisses me when he comes in at night
  3. He is extremely kind and generous
  4. Our children's friends think he's a really 'cool' dad
  5. He puts up with my emotional outbursts and provides 'practical' solutions

We've been married over 20 years and although it hasn't always been a bed of roses, the things I used to find annoying, I now realise are what have kept us together!

HotBurrito1 · 10/03/2012 22:24
  1. Since we first spoke many years ago, we just fit.
