I'm meeting my husbands mistress tonight. How do I play it?

Hb had an affair with girl from work, I found out and kicked him out. We are in the divorce process. Tonight he is taking DS out and she is going along. I'm picking DS up from the winter wonderland they are visiting and so I''ll come face to face with her for the first time. How should i play it? Withering glares? A well chosen muttered insult? Or smile and be friendly?

I would wear the skinny jeans but not with uggs especially not if the heels have collapsed.

Yes, jollyold, because fucking someone who's married shows such inner elegance.

No advce to add except very best of luck and let us know ho you got on! (Love Benher's advice!!!)

geraldinetheluckygoat · 14/12/2010 17:59

OOOh good luck gettingout, I bet you'll look bloody gorgeous and she'll feel like a hobo in comparison! Grin

LovestheChaos · 14/12/2010 18:01

Well she's obviously a whore with no heart (or she wouldn't have got involved with a married family man) so just ignore her. She is a worthless human being. Who cares what she thinks. I wouldn't bother about anything to be honest. No point in stressing over a dumb animal like her. Just pick up your ds and focus on him.

Maybe she'll get hit by a bus someday and the world will be a better place. Grin

TheCrackFox · 14/12/2010 18:20

Good luck but I have a feeling you don't need it. Smile

Lizzylou · 14/12/2010 18:26

As the Crackfox says, Good luck, but you sound very together so I don't think you'll need it.

YOu sound like you have dignified down to a fine art. Good for you.

jollyoldstnickschick · 14/12/2010 18:32

beg ya pardon expat?

jollyoldstnickschick · 14/12/2010 18:34

just realised that you think I 'stole' H away - no i definitely did not he was with someone else before he met me and his ex wife was already married to someone else before we had dc........perhaps I misled you when I posted what I was trying to do was reassure the OP the OW had more cause to feel vulnerable than she......the OP sounds fabulously together Grin.

jollyoldstnickschick · 14/12/2010 18:35

Laquitar I thought that about the soap too Xmas Grin.

orangepoo · 14/12/2010 18:52

I am glad lots of people have advised you to kill her with kindness. I know from experience this is the best way. I treated my DH's OW respectfully, politely and kindly and she turned round and told me what a decent person I was and how sorry she was for what she had done Grin.

Ormirian · 14/12/2010 18:53

"BOGOF and she's getting the GOF"

Ha ! Brilliant Grin

Rhinestone · 15/12/2010 00:55

Jolly - humble apologies, you said you were the other woman so I assumed you were the reason he left her. Yes, she was being very odd not acknowledging you in that case.

Ledkrs - bloody brilliant, what a great moment!

diddl · 15/12/2010 08:05

How did it go?

jollyoldstnickschick · 15/12/2010 08:44

Rhinestone I have that way of upsetting people Sad.

How did it go?

FakePlasticTrees · 15/12/2010 08:52

oh yes, also bumping to find out how it went.

JenaiMarrsTartanFoxCube · 15/12/2010 10:11

meh. fwiw I read nickschicks post as her being in admiration of the ex - she was saying she had inner elegance. It was interesting to read a post from the OW's persepective (although you weren't exactly the OW).

Yes, I'm also checking in for an update!

jollyoldstnickschick · 15/12/2010 12:06

Jena in his exs eyes I will always be the OW Sad ahhh well.

Thanks for reading(interpreting) my post as I meant it.

Wish the OP would update us.

gettingout · 15/12/2010 12:20

Sorry - I had a tonne of college work to do when I got back that just couldn't wait.

So what happened?

She bottled it and hid! HA!

I did see her though, but I'm not sure she knows me well enough to recognise me in a crowd. She is ok looking, nothing to write home about. Thick unfortunate legs which for some reason she thought would be enhanced by leggings. No.

I asked Ex-HB where she was and all I got was "waiting for me".

I just replied "how odd" and whisked my son home for hot chocolate with marshmallows and made a huge fuss about a celebrity that visited his school that day.
Thank you all - I felt 10 feet tall getting there after all your support. x
