I don't spend so much time on MN these days, the kids keep me busy and I have a busy social life now.
I'm happy to report that after a few difficult years for me and the kids, things are all rather fab here, I've been seeing Tom for a year now and we are getting married Grin
the kids are doing really well abbey and Bethan are now at sixth form and seem happy there, Elliot continues to do very well and keeps us all smiling.
Tom has a fantastic relationship with the kids and they all adore him, Tom is comfy talking with the kids about their dad he understands that steve will never be forgotten.
I am very very happy and at peace.
The mad/evil inlaws are keeping out of our lives for which I am thankful.
Thanks for all of your support over the last few years.

Such lovely news, for a family who deserve it so very, very much. Steve can never be forgotten but I'm sure he would want you to be enjoying the happiness that life can bring you all. Life is for living - it's great that you can.

Littlefish · 14/09/2010 21:46

What fantastic news. So lovely to hear from you OJ. I was one of the knitters - so glad you still have the blanket. Smile

Rindercella · 14/09/2010 21:52

OJ, so happy to hear how well you're doing and how happy you sound.

You won't remember me from when Steve was ill, but you posted on my thread re DH's diagnosis a while ago and your kind words meant so much to me. Thank you.

I wish you and your family all the happiness in the world. x

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 14/09/2010 22:08

How lovely; double congratulations (on the engagement and on ditching the evil in-laws).

Apollinare · 14/09/2010 22:09

So pleased to read that you have found happiness again OJ, have wondered how things were going for you all xxx

onlyjoking9329 · 14/09/2010 22:11

ok i have put a few new photos on here.
Rinders how is your DH doing?
the blanket is very special and very treasured, steve wont ever be forgotton, trifles pineapples wedding ring, flying bears all remind me of him.
i feel peaceful cos Steve was brave enough to tell me that he wanted me to love and be loved again as long as it was someone who cared about the kids, Tom loves the kids, he tell everyone he has 5 kids! i know that steve would like tom very much. plus Tom is a nurse so very gentle and nothing phases him, three kids with autism no problem!

Lovely photos OJ Smile

DH is doing ok thanks. He is a seriously ill man, but we're just taking it one day at a time and hoping for the best - what else is there to do? I have my dark moments - where I come onto MN and type my heart out. But mostly we just have to get on with things and our two beautiful DDs help enormously with that!

Once again, good luck for the future.

mummylin2495 · 14/09/2010 23:08

Hi OJ,glad to see that you are all happy and well.Is it time for my hat yet ?GrinI cant believe your girls are now 16,how quickly the time passes, and how is Elliot ?

onlyjoking9329 · 14/09/2010 23:34

Trinity I know the road you are on is dark and difficult so I'm glad to be able to offer some comfort.
The girls have really grown and are now stealing my clothes! Elliot is 13 and is still as funny and kind as ever, he loves Tom and calls him his best step father! I haven't pointed out that it's actually the only step father he has ever had!
I took them shoe shopping Elliot is now a size 7 Shock the shop lady walked over and said can I help you?
Elliot said. Exactly how many shoes do you have on display?
Lady said she did not know
Elliot asks what's the biggest size you do?
Lady says 14
Elliot asks to have a look
She shows him the 14 he says........
Wow that's big, good job Dad wasn't a 14 cos they would never have been able to shut the lids on his coffin
Lady looked rather flustered, me and Tom are still giggling about it.
