All views on The Archers welcome here! New blood welcomed, and of course we are always delighted to welcome back former or occasional listeners/posters. We don't all agree on all points, although we do mostly try to be civil about it. Most of us are posting tongue in cheek a lot of the time, so don't worry about revealing that you wishthat we'd heard the Reverend Shula preach over the festive period, or other unusual views.

I am all Archered out after the excitement of the 75th anniversary yesterday, the special drama (Truth and Lies), the podcast, you name it. Now it looks as if George is going to pull through, the hype seems a bit overdone. So it's over to you!

Wasn’t the weapon identified as a bottle from the Bull though? So footage would show who left the Bull clutching a bottle

I thought that so many people had been given a bottle of Chardonnay by The Bull that having one proved nothing whatever.

I don't know how it could be identified as coming from The Bull. It may have been a bottle of whatever it was that The Bull was handing out, but (a) quite a lot of people were given a bottle and (b) wine bottles don't have serial numbers and aren't identifiable, so any passer-by might have one.

Harrison was giving a lot of detail about what happened to George and what he looked like. Was he there? Was this detail he legitimately had access to?

Going against the grain a little...I was actually quite up for a history repeating itself/love triangle kind of story with George, Brad and Amber. Partly because it is what happens in small communities and partly because we used to think Brad would be the least likely to be involved in any scandal. They've totally ruined it by throwing a baby into the mix though.

Like many others I'm sure, I thought for a long time there is potential for for Freddie and Chelsea. Can you imagine Lily watching Chelsea taking over at the big house. All those boring paintings would have to go for a start!

Yes Brad needs someone sensible in his life because he does worry so and has no street cred, and his sister will always put him on the straight and narrow.
I hope they find someone lovely for Chelsea, she deserves someone, but not silly posho Freddie.
Harrison and Fallon do not talk to each other like they are married. They aren't very comfortable with each other and have never really sounded like a proper couple, unlike say, Jazzer and Tracy or Kenton and the Pirate or David and Ruth.

I think it's because Harrison believes he's punching above his weight. And Fallon agrees.

So happy the SW finally remembered he has a very astute sister. Very astute.

And i wonder if there may be a future (soon, i hope) conversation between Chelsea and Amber? a good factual one.

But we were straying into Love Actually territory with the "is that all?" reply. I was expecting Brad to say something like "there is nothing worse than the total agony of being in love”

I wonder if Amber could be faking the pregnancy - hence why she hasn't told George yet, because there's actually nothing to tell - in order to have a reason to cool things off with Brad?

Well that's what I mean, you'd think they wouldn't want to make it quite so close to the past! And Amber strikes me as someone who would be really careful with contraception.

Why was Chelsea being elusive about her New Year's Eve? Normal conversation would be oh I went out to X with Y and Z. She just said stayed out late and wouldn't say with who 🤔

Hopefully Chelsea will have a serious chat with Amber when she cuts her hair.

Yes, particularly given what happened with her and Ben. If Amber is indeed pregnant and is having any second thoughts/doubts (after all, why hasn't she told George?), Chelsea is just the woman she needs to speak to.

Amber isn't keen on Chelsea, though. I can't imagine she would choose to confide in her.

Why is Chelsea doing Amber's hair anyway, who she isn't even friendly with? Surely Amber goes to some trendy salon and records the whole experience for Instagram purposes? (I know, plot reasons, but it's irritated me.)

I think Amber hasn't told George as she's wondering about a termination and he'll talk her out of it.

Also, asmuch as I understand Paul's fear of crashing or killing someone, I do not need to relive the fear of early driving lessons through him.

I think Paul needs hypnosis to learn to drive if he is that worried. Rhauri isn't a qualified driving instructor so he shouldn't really be teaching someone so nervous its dangerous. But I guess the SWs, in third infinite wisdom thinks love conquers all.
Why dosnt Chelsea just tell Amber about her experience and stop telling her to tell George. I think the worst thing Amber can do is tell George she will never escape him then.
Sheneeds To go to her mum and her mum will advise her and help her get the right advice. Im sure her mum wouldn't turn her back on her, but my advice would be a termination.
