Thanks to @PoulePouletteEternellement for the equine theme to the new thread title. I wanted to work in Rex being a dark horse and lots of others too, but (you may feel fortunately) there's a character limit for the title.

I wonder if this thread will see us through to the end of February. The last one filled up in under a month, which was like old times. All depends on what delights are in store for us in the coming weeks, I suppose. I'm hoping that Gavin has spilled the beans on Victoria, she's also arrested, and the lads are found. Having said that, I'm not confident that in the real world they would get the support and care they need to turn their lives around and get proper jobs. It was good to hear on the last thread from @Trickyboy, who has professional experience of investigating this vile crime. Any comments on how things turn out in the long run for those rescued?

I like Tracey now she's being allowed to show her intelligence and isn't just portrayed as a man chaser.

I do hope it won't be long before we are treated to an Ambridge parish council meeting on Zoom.

I tried watching that Zoom meeting, but TA is short enough without resorting to it. Hannah, Emma, Neil, Brian and Justin would make an interesting Zoom meeting.

I doubt that we will hear much of the Echo article, if we hear any of it at all. What we will get is people sounding off about it and (rightly) blaming Susan for yet again opening her big yap and putting her foot in it.

It was singularly unpleasant but not entirely out of character. I don't think they will do a dementia line with her unless June Spencer actually wanted to do it.

Applying cod psychology to Peggy's message, we can surmise that she doesn't like Tony because he reminds her of Jack the First.

I'm happy that Ambridge is remaining the village that the plague forgot. It's a little oasis of normality. I doubt we'd be able to understand conversations in the village shop so well if everyone was wearing face masks!

I enjoyed hearing from Rebecca too, although at first I was trying to work out who was speaking as I didn't recognise the voice and was running various female characters through my head and ruling them out.

The lack of actual virus annoys me because it means I have to use contrive dissonance - it reminds me that TA isn't real whilst it is real in my world.
