New posters welcome - with your fresh views and burning questions.

Old posters welcome - with your jaded views and knowledgeable answers.

But new posters feel free to be jaded, and old posters feel free to ask questions!

How is the Pip storyline going to play out and do you care?

As usual, if you want to mention the advertised storylines for future episodes, there's a separate thread for that - no spoilers here, please.

Just imagine we're all sitting round a table at The Bull --> Archers

Here we go ...

Poor Joshy.

MikeUniformMike · 30/01/2018 19:10

I thought Henry's father was a turkey baster and Jack's father was a total bastard.

MikeUniformMike · 30/01/2018 19:12

Poor poor Pip, so much to cope with.

Vango · 30/01/2018 19:20

They haven’t got a single positive word to say to Josh, have they?

Josh: Mmmm, this cake’s good...
Ruth: Leave some for the rest of us!

RubyLennoxExists · 30/01/2018 19:32

I'm quite liking Toebee Blush
Did anyone think Pip sounded different tonight, a little like Alice?
Poor Josh, definitely.

MikeUniformMike · 30/01/2018 19:36

Alice has quite a raspy voice whereas Pip says some sylblsrlyq wik lee andthenspeedsupa gain.
Is Ben still in the cupboard?

TheAntiBoop · 30/01/2018 19:50

At least they seem to be realising that pip hasn't really thought things through

CeciledeVolanges · 30/01/2018 19:50

Not to spoil my Academic Archers pitch, but I do not believe the EA storyline has been dealt with properly in respect to the long-term effects on Helen and Henry and neither did about 90% of my survey respondents.

MikeUniformMike · 30/01/2018 19:51

She's got over it remarkably quickly hasn't she.

CeciledeVolanges · 30/01/2018 19:52

Pip also finishes every sentence with a "fffffff" noise

MikeUniformMike · 30/01/2018 19:58

I hate Pip.

SusanWalker · 30/01/2018 20:04

Does Josh actually get paid for the work he does on the farm? If so why can't they just pay someone else. They really don't take his business seriously do they? Poor Josh not allowed to upset Pip in any way but it doesn't matter how he feels. I thought his point about the dairy and growing the herd was a good one. I mean not necessarily to 1000 cows but still valid. But of course if it's not Pips idea....

BitOutOfPractice · 30/01/2018 20:17

Oh, David and Ruth have actually been critical of Pip! Shock

BertrandRussell · 30/01/2018 20:26

Well at least Pip has thought about childcare. It doesn't seem to have crossed Adam and Ian's minds.

MikeUniformMike · 30/01/2018 20:29

Maybe Jenny or Peggy can do it? Or Jill seeing as she'll be looking after Bay-bee Grace. It won't stop her babing and making flasks of coffee, you know.

MikeUniformMike · 30/01/2018 20:29

baking not babing

I don't think Josh gets paid for his work on the farm - wasn't he supposed to go to university and took a year out to sell farm machinery online or something like that?

Well at least Pip has thought about childcare.

= presumed her nonogenarian Granny would take the reins.

MikeUniformMike · 30/01/2018 21:25

I thought that Jill was about 87. Hardly nonagenarian. looking after a toddler is nothing. If it's anything like Henry, it will just draw pictures until it's 5.

Vango · 30/01/2018 21:45

Fair point, Jill’s not quite there yet! (A mere 88 this year - confusing her with Peggy). But I can’t go along with the idea that “at least Pip’s thought about childcare”. Her baby’s already on its way. She’s got some hasty preparations to make but I’m not sure factoring Jill in as available childcare shows a great deal of thought.

I don’t think her situation can be compared to Adam and Ian’s. I’m pretty sure they’ve had conversations about childcare before now but they’d be jumping the gun a bit if they had any concrete plans at this stage.

I find the assumption that Jill will look after the Piptoe is outrageous.
