New posters welcome - with your fresh views and burning questions.

Old posters welcome - with your jaded views and knowledgeable answers.

But new posters feel free to be jaded, and old posters feel free to ask questions!

How is the Pip storyline going to play out and do you care?

As usual, if you want to mention the advertised storylines for future episodes, there's a separate thread for that - no spoilers here, please.

Just imagine we're all sitting round a table at The Bull --> Archers

Can’t believe Lexi doesn’t think about talking it through with Roy before she even half commits to anything

Timetogetup0630 · 12/01/2018 19:26

Poor Roy, he's such a loser.

lostinspaceyetagain · 12/01/2018 19:28

How long is a donor egg list? Who keeps the list?

The only receivers of eggs I know paid for IVF for a couple and in return got shared eggs. They didn't conceive.

Adam must be able to afford to buy eggs abroad. He must be loaded as they never spend any money on anything- never buys clothes, cars, rarely go away etc

MikeUniformMike · 12/01/2018 19:32

Ambridge was well ahead of the national trend for 40 yrs + mothers. It has a very low teenage pregnancy rate. Possibly because there aren't many teenagers.

I hope that Lexi has already been impregnated by Roy.

Antiboop. I rest my case! And am not even producing historical evidence eg babies with heart conditions or clicky hips.

Lostinspace, if they go to the amazingly efficient and effective clinic Helen used they will probably be told they have luckily just had a donated batch of perfect eggs, ready for insertion, so what time can your surrogate get here.

We‘ve also forgotten the two foetuses that didn‘t make it, namely Kirsty‘s and Ruth‘s.

I can‘t believe Ruth was wanting this conflict with Toby that David has created. I‘d expect Pip to be v annoyed when she hears.

I think we have had quite a few SL about mothers who aren't brilliant, Kate for example is the worst mother in the universe.

Nic was the evil stepmother for a while.

ppeatfruit · 12/01/2018 20:39

Well David certainly put his size 11s in it with Toby tonight. I quite like the relationship that Kenton has with Toby getting up Dave's nose. I LIKE Toby now.

echt · 12/01/2018 21:37

Presumably in the heat of the moment David has forgotten about the CSA and Toby may well be obliged to contribute to the child, should Pip wish to pursue, even if he doesn't change his mind about involvement in the mean time. What about the money he owes Pip? I've forgotten, do the Dopeys know about this, or is it another of Pip's little secrets?

The Lexi surrogacy thing looks interesting, with so many possibilities to go horribly wrong with the relationships.

BertrandRussell · 12/01/2018 21:38

TASWAMA.

Roy’s reaction was really over dramatic.

HatingTheBigShow · 12/01/2018 22:28

You think Roy not wanting his girlfriend to be a surrogate is misogynistic? Why? It's a pretty reasonable response. I wouldn't want my male partner to donate sperm and that's nothing compared to carrying, birthing and giving away a baby to someone.

cheminotte · 12/01/2018 22:47

I felt it was like he felt she’d be betraying him. But (presumably) she wouldn’t be sleeping with someone else to get pregnant.

ADarkandStormyKnight · 12/01/2018 23:09

And she'd be getting Ian and Adam to provide enough funds for her to stay with her children, so Roy would see less of her.

I can understand Roy's feelings but he's not expressing himself well and he's not listening to her.

PuddleOfInk · 12/01/2018 23:14

I'm with Roy on this TBH.

TheAntiBoop · 12/01/2018 23:14

Lexie seems to be rushing into the decision IMO

Becoming a surrogate to two people who are essentially strangers is a big deal

She's only been round since the summer hasn't she?

All very convenient

Mootsie · 12/01/2018 23:42

'Sweet and kind' Lexi came across as quite calculating tonight I thought.

Ian and Adam will be shelling out enough money for her to return to Bulgaria to be with her daughters throughout the pregnancy with no guarantee that she'll return and hand over the baby?

And where will Roy fit into all this? Hmm

BertrandRussell · 13/01/2018 06:11

“Ian and Adam will be shelling out enough money for her to return to Bulgaria to be with her daughters throughout the pregnancy with no guarantee that she'll return and hand over the baby?”

Yep. Why on earth should she not get something out of the deal?
