So many possibilities.... A visit from the Titcheners Snr? Baby of the wrong gender? A ruined wedding? Re-housed Grundys? RuthRex?

OP posts:
Gruach · 20/11/2015 19:22

Well there were only two choices.Grin

BYOSnowman · 20/11/2015 19:23

And has she forgotten she has a young teenage son? One who was absolutely distraught by his granny's death and may need some maternal support?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 20/11/2015 19:23

No idea! So far as we know she has no connection with the place. All very odd.

Sunnymeg · 20/11/2015 19:23

Does anyone else think that Helen will nip out to the wedding whilst Rob is elsewhere? Rob will find out, drive over in a fit of rage and spill the beans about Adam and Charlie.

BYOSnowman · 20/11/2015 19:23

This is starting to go from poorly written to batshit crazy

ragged · 20/11/2015 19:24

Who cares why NZ? Maybe she'll travel there by boat, meet a sheep farmer & elope with him. Let's celebrate the imminent absence of childish Ruth.

selsigfach · 20/11/2015 19:24

Think the SWs pulled that idea out of a hat.

Gruach · 20/11/2015 19:25

Helen can't nip out. Kirsty will need heavy duty cutting equipment and automatic weapons to spring her.

Gruach · 20/11/2015 19:27

So, wait. Helen will now never be able to pick up her own son from school?

Rob will be Henry's teacher's only contact?

Shock Sad
BertrandRussell · 20/11/2015 19:27

Can anyone remember how often Ruth saw her mum before all this ridiculousness started? Twice a year? If that?

BYOSnowman · 20/11/2015 19:28

I really hate the way Ruth cited her miscarriage as one of the reasons for feeling this way. The writing is so crap

campion · 20/11/2015 19:29

My wish has come true.

No doubt she'll return, or probably not even go.She didn't go far with Sam the cowman.

The bypass wasn't it?

BertrandRussell · 20/11/2015 19:30

And obviously Rob will not be able to take a job now because he has to pick Henry up. So presumably whatever Helen was going to get paid will go straight to him now- so she'll have no money.........

Gruach · 20/11/2015 19:34

No school gate chat or coffee with other parents.

Then Rob will persuade Henry that his mother won't be interested in what he's doing at school as she's never there. So no point talking to her. And of course she won't be competent to make decisions about school matters.

bigbuttons · 20/11/2015 20:14

Yes, piss of Rooth and good riddance.
Is it me or is she sounding more and more like she is in fact Ronni Acona doing an impression of Rooth with every episode?

I also can't take much more of Knob's half laugh. He now does one in nearly every sentence.

Toomuchtea · 20/11/2015 20:20

I absolutely did not see New Zealand coming but I shall not miss Ruth once she goes. If she goes. Maybe Ben will yet fling himself at her feet, crying "SPARE my cereal cupboard arrangement! If you go, there is no one to protect it!"

I do hope the Helen actress hasn't decided she's going off to do other things, and that the SL will end up with her being sectioned, in a thoroughly Victorian manner. Mind you, bearing in mind how unbelievably difficult it is to get any help for mental health that in itself would be an unbelievable SL.

ragged · 20/11/2015 20:43

Rob will finally have his dramatic fall, leading to total ostracisation by village, then top himself à la Greg. Helen will festoon herself in black mourning clothes until end of time, and start up a fetishist website for cheese-loving masochists wanting to dance with the Black Widow. Henry grows up to be an arsonist.

ps: I luffs that Twitter feed link. :)

BYOSnowman · 20/11/2015 20:59

I wish Ruth would take pip with her

TopOfTheCliff · 20/11/2015 21:17

I think this was the Felpersham Farmers (?) group trip to New Zealand that Pip was considering last week. They had a spare place but Pip couldn't possibly spare the time to go away. Clearly Ruth fancied it as an escape plan.

I can't believe that SOC would have another jilting at the altar SL but I am quite nervous about Adam and Ian's wedding. How will it get ruined?

ppeatfruit · 20/11/2015 21:19

Well lets not get too far fetched here Gruach Grin unless Knob removes her mobile and laptop or whatever, Hell will still be able to communicate with her friends and the school etc. Didn't Pat say she'd do the school run anyway?

AnnieNoMouse · 20/11/2015 21:24

Oh for fuck's sake Ruth Shock

But TopCliff good point - she might be referring to the FF NZ trip, in which case I guess she'll be back for Xmas. Otherwise this SL has truly jumped the shark.

AnnieNoMouse · 20/11/2015 21:26

Ppeatfruit "but darling you know that those electronic devices emit all sorts of nasty rays. I can do all the phone calls and emails for you, just until the baby is 18 of course …"

EBearhug · 20/11/2015 23:09

Yes, with FEDS - can't remember what it stands for.

enochroot · 21/11/2015 01:03

I wish Ruth would take pip with her
I couldn't agree more, BYOS

Something bad always happens to characters who go to N.Z.
Sid dies, Kenton finds out he's ruined.

Ruth's never coming back, is she?

enochroot · 21/11/2015 01:13

Kenton was ruined in Australia so I'll re-phrase that....
Something bad always happens to characters who go to the Antipodes!

(Canada is where characters get a new personality.)
