So many possibilities.... A visit from the Titcheners Snr? Baby of the wrong gender? A ruined wedding? Re-housed Grundys? RuthRex?

"Any normal teenage boy would have left the cereal on the kitchen table with a little puddle of milk"

Only putting the box back in the cupboard when it was empty.

Gruach · 19/11/2015 19:09

Another speeding incident coming?

Shallishanti · 19/11/2015 19:10

oh no!

Shallishanti · 19/11/2015 19:14

..oh Pat!
no! not the Mike story!

GruntledOne · 19/11/2015 19:15

Another "Fuck Off" directed at the radio round here when Knob said he couldn't be so hypocritical as to attend the wedding. He's clearly telling Hellin that if she does she is being hypocritical. Vomit.

Gruach · 19/11/2015 19:15

How many times have I said I don't think I can go on listening much like longer?

Angry
EsmesBees · 19/11/2015 19:20

Well there we are. Now Helen's stuck in the house/reliant on family for lifts she'll be even more isolated. Didn't think much of Pat's reaction to the accident. Stop asking pointless questions and go and pick her up for goodness sake.

Gruach · 19/11/2015 19:24

(There was no "like" in that sentence. I didn't like it at all.)

BYOSnowman · 19/11/2015 19:29

What on earth has happened to pat?

GruntledOne · 19/11/2015 19:33

I really don't think I can take more of these personality transplants. Why the hell would Pat think that Helen is suddenly unable to drive when she got through her entire pregnancy with Henry driving merrily the whole time?

MeolsCop · 19/11/2015 19:33

As I was listening I suddenly thought, he's not even going to have to bother to go to the effort of stopping her driving, is he? That IDIOT is going to do it for him.

It's just all so easy for him. It's getting ridiculous.

BYOSnowman · 19/11/2015 19:38

they have forgotten who pat is. Piss poor

GypsyFl0ss · 19/11/2015 19:45

Ridiculous.

Stickerrocks · 19/11/2015 19:51

Not happy with Pat 's character transplant at all. Maybe Tony will say something.

BYOSnowman · 19/11/2015 19:55

Like 'where's my wife? Who are you? Call the police, my wife has been replaced by a step ford wife!!'

GruntledOne · 19/11/2015 19:57

Knob is going to find oh so many reasons why he can't take Helen anywhere (including Ian's wedding) and why it would be so inconsiderate to ask her family to give her a lift. This is getting so difficult to listen to.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 19/11/2015 19:57

Clearly aliens landed on Lakey Hill some months ago and took the real Pat away, leaving this malfunctioning roboPat behind. It's not the real Pat, that's for sure. Sad

bigbuttons · 19/11/2015 20:04

The whole Pat, Helen, Knob fiasco tonight got me. Up to now the behaviour was realistic, now it is just stupid. What the bloody hell has happened to Pat anyway?

MeolsCop · 19/11/2015 20:06

Is it seriously conceivable that nobody in Hellin's immediate family has noticed what a terrified, appeasing shadow of herself she's turned into? It's so bloody obvious, but apparently...nope. Her own mother FFS.

Gruach · 19/11/2015 20:16

The thing is. They'd pretty much given up hope of any man being able to stand Helen for more than six minutes without running away, blocking her number and blowing his head off. So when Pat meets someone who apoears to actually like her daughter - well, it seems to have melted her brain ...

And obviously he primed Pat during the rescue mission so he didn't have to utter the fatal sentence himself.

Unless Kirsty busts her out of the bathroom window it's highly unlikely Helen will need her wedding hat.

Gruach · 19/11/2015 20:27

I didn't put that well. What I mean is - if Helen had a history of strong, successful relationships Pat would probably be able to discern something different in this one. But she has no model to follow, possibly she might put any change in Helen down to shock at arriving at a happy ending.

It's grim though.

DeoGratias · 19/11/2015 20:55

It's quite realistic and well done and it does describe how men like this operate so it's good.

MeolsCop · 19/11/2015 20:57

Very true, Gruach, but she's reverted SO suddenly from the 'la la la, I'm so happy, aren't I lucky to have such a wonderful man' to her present state of grovelling panic at the slightest thing - and when she's not in that mode, just generally being incredibly withdrawn and preoccupied - it's very striking. I'd have expected her own family to remark on it. But of course, as we know, nobody has conversations or gossips, it appears.

bigbuttons · 19/11/2015 20:59

How can knob refuse to go to the wedding on moral grounds when he had an affair with Helen whilst still with his wife? Or should I say why didn't she point this out to him? Or am I missing something?

BertrandRussell · 19/11/2015 21:04

Have the script writers all been replaced by Men's Rights Activists? It is International Men's Day, after all...........
