Sexy sex on lovely legs, shearing sheep bare-chested. Tell us how you picture the good folk of Ambridge (and feel free to discuss anything else rural soap-related).

For me, that describes Ed. Some strange people think that it describes Jazzer.
Does it matter what they look like? We know and love their voices (except you Pip)

Vintage Susan tonight suggesting to Adam "I'm sure you watch all those sort of"diy tv shows Grin

Bluestocking · 23/07/2014 22:36

Also vintage Hayley - she always wants to see the best in everybody, even people who really don't deserve it. Poor love.

ZeroSomeGameThingy · 24/07/2014 01:20

Hmmm - do they have cereals based radio soaps in the US?

Hayley Mimsy you are so outed!

GypsyFloss · 24/07/2014 05:50

Grin Mimsy.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 24/07/2014 08:23

Did Susan know John tregorran? Did Hayley?

I know Susan can be a malicious gossip but the way she's going on seems a little exaggerate even for her. Also, gossips are always better in pairs, feeding each other. Who does she normally gossip with?

I hope lizzie has had a prick of conscience. Picking a married man for a fling was very stupid and having his lovely wife so close she must be feeling bad?

I think Roy wasn't expecting the shag and is now trying to justify it by sabotaging his home life and declaring love for liz. A bit like when a cheating couple rush into marriage to try and prove to the outside world that the seedy start and the pain caused was somehow worth it

Like knobcheese, you mean? Grin

PetulaGordino · 24/07/2014 09:04

Back in the UK now! You definitely see the retrofitting of unhappy marriage to justify cheating on the relationships board

ppeatfruit · 24/07/2014 09:24

Or Hayley 'stands by her man' for the sake of the kiddies. Actually IIWM I'd 've twigged months ago; are the sws making her out to be thick?

mummytime · 24/07/2014 11:07

Actually - I kind of liked the bit with Lizzie and Hailey last night.
Lizzie has had a quick ONS when a bit drunk, and where it felt like she was "out of this world".

But now the reality of what she did is being spelled out to her. He's a married man. Her employee. And she's even employs/is friendly with his wife.
It should have been some random stranger, but she didn't think it out at all.

Roy on the other hand was planning/hoping for the whole thing. Its his very belated chance to rebel against conventionality.

Of course now he is so conventional that he can't see it as meaningless and definitely not leading to a relationship.

Elizabeth didn't want anything more - but now has to face up to the fact it was real, in her own back yard, and she can't control everything.

Hailey is just like a lot of people on the relationship boards. Relationships are built on trust, and what Hailey knows could be innocent.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 24/07/2014 11:10

Indeed R4!!

I never thought Hayley was thick but they've been portraying her as a bit dim. I don't think they have got her character right here at all.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 24/07/2014 11:13

It is also so out of character for Roy that I don't expect Hayley to twig for a long time

Lizzie is such a spoilt brat she deserves a comeuppance!!

unitarian · 24/07/2014 17:54

I'm hoping that what's happened happened and will be buried until it resurfaces in 20 years time like the John Tregorran/ Jennifer thing, if thing it was.

With a bit of luck and good sense, Roy will concentrate on his family and stop being needy and tetchy around Elizabeth and she will be totally professional and pleasant to both Roy and Hayley. I like the idea upthread that she makes Hayley Roy's PA - or maybe vice versa!

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 24/07/2014 18:16

Oooh, maybe they will just be about to cut their 30th anniversary cake when a look of realisation crosses Hayley's face

"You bastard - you shagged Elizabeth in our tent"

Roy stabbed with the cake knife

JohnFarleysRuskin · 24/07/2014 18:19

Noo, We can't wait that long, Unitarian!

It must be at Lox-fest. It must be. (Although I defer to BYOS on all predictions)

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 24/07/2014 19:15

Yay a walking stereotype farmer/ukip supporter!!

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 24/07/2014 19:17

So tomorrow Roy is getting irritable

Crabs?

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 24/07/2014 19:19

Ruth was in shouty mode there. She only has two ways to show emotion. One is shouting and the other one is her emetic little tiny 'isn't it amaaaazin'' voice. Both make me want to shriek.

GypsyFloss · 24/07/2014 19:41

Even vacuuming the car I could hear Rooth emoting all over the place. Honestly, she was a good walk spoiled.

OddFodd · 24/07/2014 19:44

Was today's brief 'Fox those listeners who expect Thursday's episode to be really exciting by making it the most boring 15 minutes of drama you can'?

JollyGolightly · 24/07/2014 19:49

I enjoyed today's episode. I like it when Lindypops is doing her thing. And despite finding the storyline about the pretend knitting habit implausible and irritating, I do enjoy the bickering between fagash and Peggy.

BuildYourOwnSnowman · 24/07/2014 19:52

I quite like grandma wars!

unitarian · 24/07/2014 20:11

Snorted tea at 'crabs'!

Bluestocking · 24/07/2014 20:43

Re Bolloxfest, they could have combined it with a cider festival and called it Loxstock and Barrel!

.... tumbleweed ....
