I looked that up, and was surprised he'd lasted so long. I knew a few people who had worked there a bit earlier than that, and said the ubiquitous portrait in every public building, school, clinic, courthouse etc etc left no doubt they were in a dictatorship.
My search parameters were " 'name of person's' portrait photo being removed" - lots of versions of the same event from slightly different angles
