Best accessories for your Phil&Teds Sport
GoldenSnitch · 06/04/2010 14:12
I recently got a P&T Sport for my 3 year old (runner) DS and 3 month old DD. It's great, I love it, so much better than my old pushchair.
I've been buying the odd accessory for it now and then. I have a pannier bag and a buggyclip for carrying extra shopping, a cover for the foot rest to protect it from muddy boots and my latest buy is a cover for the bumper bar with taggie ribbons on it. DD is already fascinated with it and I think it's going to be great for her to play with while also keeping the bumper bar clean of sticky fingerprints and biscuit.
I'm really pleased with the bits I've got so far and wondered what your best buys for your P&T were? Any great accessories that make life easier that I've missed?
Trying not to turn into a pushchair obsessive but not doing very well at the moment

Hi!
I have just stumbled across your thread about the aBUGSline bumper bar covers and as the maker/owner I am very proud to see it being talked about on the forum!!
I'm glad its well liked by your little one!
We have a new website www.pramaholic.org.uk with a whole new range of colours and some new products coming too.
We really appreciate any feedback (good or bad!) so that we can continue to improve on design for our little cherubs

isw i found the pannier bags rubbish, they do add bulk so if the door is narrow can't get through and i found them really hard to put on in a decent looking way. always looked as thought i had done it wrong? was not that clear where exactly to put them.. which may be just me being slightly thick, but i didnt find them worth the hastle personally.
the velcro hooks are much better, just put shopping there and under neath

I've only got one pannier. I got it from someone on here second hand. I've never really used it though.
They're reasonably easy to get on but they're not what I'd call quick release. I certainly wouldn't want to be using it as my nappy bag and having to take it on and off all the time. They'd be good for a big shopping trip though, or a day out.
They hang at a slightly odd angle because of how they attach to the frame too so I understand what Firawla is saying about them never looking quite right.
I have a skip hop change bag to use with my P&T which is great but can't really be used in doubles mode. It has special shuttle clips to hold it to the handles. Are you using the second seat isw?

hi ive just ordered my p and t sport for 2yr old and baby due...havent got it yet but starting to check out the accs situation! seems the fun part of this buggy to me! cant wait to pimp the ride!
the panniers appeal to me because in newborn mode it looks like you cant get in the basket very well? is this correct? i may use it as a single or a double depending on the day/location. also please can someone tell me does it fold with panniers on?
i fancy the handle bar/bum bag thingy also, but will not ever wear as bum bag!!! but does it fold with that on?
last of all....worth getting an extra sunshade thing for the hood to make it cover more of seat or does it shade enough in newborn/single mode?
cant wait to use it! just got a little chicco ct 06 at moment for 2yr old, fab quality but faff to push as two handles and dd1 gatting heavier by the day! love it though...had bugaboos and allsorts but the chiccos ive had have been excellent.
(will quite poss use system as a single as 2yr old walks miles but need option of second seat for longer trips/poorly toddler days etc etc)

I took my 20 week old DD out in singles mode yesterday and was very glad for the extra sun cover I have as the hood doesn't cover much, especially when baby is laid right back in the seat. There's a link to the one I bought on this thread somewhere I think.
I fancied the hang bag but was looking closely at the pictures and I think you have to have the handle at it's highest setting for it to fit properly and as I'm 5'1", that would be a pain. I think it would close with it on but as it looks like it just loops over the handle, it's probably just as easy to take it off.
Not sure if it folds with the panniers on. I've never tried it. Would think it's probably better with them off though.

You're welcome.
I bought the extra sun shade to use in 2 child doubles mode as the seat on the back has no hood at all! It was a happy accident that it also works as extra cover in singles mode too.
I love the one I bought. Would highly recommend it
