Best accessories for your Phil&Teds Sport

I recently got a P&T Sport for my 3 year old (runner) DS and 3 month old DD. It's great, I love it, so much better than my old pushchair.

I've been buying the odd accessory for it now and then. I have a pannier bag and a buggyclip for carrying extra shopping, a cover for the foot rest to protect it from muddy boots and my latest buy is a cover for the bumper bar with taggie ribbons on it. DD is already fascinated with it and I think it's going to be great for her to play with while also keeping the bumper bar clean of sticky fingerprints and biscuit.

I'm really pleased with the bits I've got so far and wondered what your best buys for your P&T were? Any great accessories that make life easier that I've missed?

Trying not to turn into a pushchair obsessive but not doing very well at the moment

I just have a pannier bag and a Kaiser footmuff on the back seat for DD. Wish I had known about the bumper bar cover though, she would have loved one of those!

I have a P&T and nada accessories! Well, a raincover but I don't even use that cos DS1 hates it and throws a stroopy whenever it's on. Seems fine to me without any accessories? Foot rest cover might be good though although mine has already been subjected to puke and muddy wellies, oh well!

I think DD is going to love the taggie bumper bar. She's only 14 weeks at the moment but I showed her the bar when the cover was fitted and she was transfixed. I got a red one but they do them in loads of different colours.

The foot rest cover has been fab already. It attaches with little velcro straps and is made from washable, waterproof fabric so when it gets flithy, I can just throw it in the washing machine. Saves scrubbing the pushchair down.

Not sure I'll need cosytoes until next winter as DD is still in the cocoon for now and DS is too big for one. Might look at some seat liners though. Anything to make cleaning the pushchair easier!. I could strip my old pushchair down and throw it all in the washing machine, it's to only negative point for the P&T I've found so far.

I have never cleaned my P&T

GoldenSnitch · 06/04/2010 21:44

I've not had to do more than a quick wipe wth a cloth yet as it's only 6 months old and is covered in covers

I need a cover for the handlebar next as that keeps getting flithy when I open and close the pushchair and it touches the floor

Pannier bags and hook and stroll clips

Hangbag thing is rubbish - avoid

GoldenSnitch · 07/04/2010 22:29

What are hook and stroll clips Eldon?

OP posts:
EldonAve · 07/04/2010 22:59

they velcro on
probably a similar idea to your buggy clip

buggyjo · 07/04/2010 23:13

ive also got the hook and stroll clips and they are fab,i also have handle bar cover, bumper bar cover and a sunshine kids buggy organiser, and linners, ive trully pimped my p+t!

GoldenSnitch · 08/04/2010 07:51

Ah yes, very similar to the buggy buddy clips My friend bought one for her Vibe but the handles are too thick so it won't fit and she's said I can have it which means I'll have 2 of them soon. You can even get a lockable one for securing your pushchair at the park or the shops etc.

Which handlebar cover and liners do you have Buggyjo? Some liners I've seen are really expensive and I've been warned off the ebay ones as apparently, they don't fit right.

hi golden,my handle bar cover was made by snunkie,as are the linners, they arent that exspensive when you compare them to other brands, and they do look nice, wash well, ive just orderd a new main seat one,so sadly im like a child waiting for the postman every day!this buggy pimping can become vey addictive...have fun.

GoldenSnitch · 09/04/2010 08:53

Thanks buggyjo. They're updating the site at the moment and I can't see any handlebar covers but I'll look again later.

I think I may be getting the buggy pimping bug!! Dh is not going to be pleased

I have the hang bag thing and its great! So easy to chuck my phone and keys knowing that they are safe.

Ooooh, I am going to look for a handle bar cover. I hope to sell mine in a few months so want to keep it all looking nice!

GoldenSnitch · 13/04/2010 09:35

That's one positive and one negative for the hangbag!!

I have a Skip Hop baby bag which attaches to the handlebars so I wouldn't have the space for one either way.

Loving the taggie bumper bar cover. Both of the children love it - one is 3 months and 1 is 3 years!!!

GoldenSnitch · 16/04/2010 11:24

My sun shade arrived today. Might have to get the buggy out of the car just to try it!

OP posts:
Benjy · 16/04/2010 13:03

Could you link to the sun shade?

GoldenSnitch · 16/04/2010 13:14

I got this one. It's for the doubles seat so I wanted something which wouldn't block the entire view as the back of the main seat will block the view forwards. This one will still allow DD to see out of the sides.
