Hi everyone - now I understood what you meant Dunoon! I hadn't looked at the amount of messages!!

Basl - I can count on one hand how many dresses I have owned/worn in my lifetime, so doubtful Though I do still have one!! Maybe I should make it my aim to get in it? I must look for a picture of myself in it as it was bought for my friends wedding.

Anyway, you were going jogging!! Much more impressive than me - I dod it in my front room - which, if you could have seen me was fair enogh - my tummy was boinging up and down and my knickers falling down - attractive and then i needed a wee

ill wait to see what others think?

Hope Tate picks up soon.

Morning all

I feel very yuk this morning, full of cold and my head feels very 'woolley' hacking cough and lost my voice. So cold in bed last night I put socks and pj's on but still shivering yet sweating.

I can moan about feeling awful but poor James can't tell you

Just going to 'sit' this morning until I take dd to playgroup at 1pm

StrictlyKatty · 23/03/2010 09:33

Hey has anyone had any problems with a Maxi Cosi car seat?

I bought DS a Priorifix in Aug 2008, but now the buckle has cracked.... Took it to Mothercare who said they only covered it for 12 months even though Maxi Cosi say it's under guarantee for 24 months

Maxi Cosi say they cannot exchange directly, Mothercare say they can't! Grrr it's like Bugaboo all over again!

GeekOfTheWeek · 23/03/2010 09:33

Hows James?

Carrie - I was like that a few weeks ago, felt dreadful. Does your throat hurt?

nicolamumof3 · 23/03/2010 09:41

never had any probs with maxi cosi seats hope you get it sorted SK.

sorry carrie forgot to wish you well

carrielou2007 · 23/03/2010 09:46

Never heard of that with maxi cosi but no suprise that Mothercare are useless

I do get tonsillitis a lot but my throat is just blood red with cold I think. It is just a cold as hot yet shivering and can'tget warm. I am very lucky that I very rarely get ill so like a wet blanket.

StrictlyKatty · 23/03/2010 09:55

It's soooooo annoying! The manager of Mothercare said the seat was dangerous and wouldn't hold up in an accident yet wouldn't take it back! I'm not going to buy another £270 car seat when this one should be well under guarantee.

I hate companies that always make you go to the retailer, espeically when the retailer was Mothercare!

FlyMeToDunoon · 23/03/2010 10:49

Morning all. Oh Maxy I do hope your DS feels better soon. Poor little thing.
It must be the season for colds as DD3 has a stinker. I have sent her to nursery though
Strictly I would word I strong letter of complaint and email it to the customer services dept of Mothercare. Threaten them with some trades description or something. What is that organisation called?
Packing boxes came this morning.

maxybrown · 23/03/2010 11:31

Well we are back - no infection at all! So just need to sit it out. he did ask if he has had chicken pox as that is doing the rounds in local area.....so we shall see in a few days if he gets any spots......just in time for us going away, goody!

afternoon all you lovely ladies.

how are you all??? hope everyone is well.

i have managed not to purchase anymore prams since i left this thread

now time to sell my last and only pram. my black xt must go .. got new car coming and it wont fit in boot. so can no longer keep it "just in case"

so... question is... where the heck is best place for selling just now?

ebay
gumtree
boards here?

obviously ebay and here cost me to advertise. but if nothing is moving on either of these then dont really want to use them.

still in a bit of a huff with ebay after i sold 2 jane footmuffs and seller claimed not to receive them. not only did i not get footmuffs returned. also paypal clawed back £60 i got for them and still charged me for the listing. buggers

nicolamumof3 · 23/03/2010 12:26

oh no htats not good...really no more prams for you? do you not need one at all for dd? (i think i know who you are? dc's beginning with 'e'? is that right?) If so is this the original xt? when you me and carrielou bought them when they first came out?

GeekOfTheWeek · 23/03/2010 12:41

Carrie, Did your yummy mummy bag arrive? I went to john Lewis for a new one yesterday but not much choice and I didn't like any there !

BexieID · 23/03/2010 13:54

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE, how much for your black XT?

carrielou2007 · 23/03/2010 14:09

I'm flamin soaked again!! Thought the fresh air would do me good (it did until it started raining on the way back from playgroup)

I think I know who you are too don'ttouch

GeekOfTheWeek · 23/03/2010 14:12

Having a pushchair dilemma

I had my heart set on a bee so took dh to john lewis to try before we buy. He hates it

We have a frog which we both love but need one for holiday and weekends away. What can you suggest? I am thinking bjcm, petite star zia or nipper 360. Can anyone advise please?

GeekOfTheWeek · 23/03/2010 14:18

I have the tulips one with a cupcake on the front but need want a new one! If you sell any of yours I may be interested as I prefer the larger style

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 23/03/2010 14:31

to all. yes, you have me right. scottish with children with "e" names

nicola - think we did buy at same time. it was the black with silver handles... what do you mean original? have they done a newer model of this style already ... this goes to show you how out of date with pushchairs i am.

dd could use pram on odd occasion. but ds starts school full time this year. and when it's just dd and she's too tired i simply carry her. she's quite a keen walker anyway.

when i take the one pram out and have both dc they just fight constant over who does in it. so i gave up taking it out. it's been in the cupboard under my stairs for so long it never even got a spin out in the bad weather or had a footmuff on it

need to hunt the cupboards. i'm sure i have a head hugger, box and instruction booklets all together with receipt for sovereign guarantee. but not 100% as did a massive clearout in january and dont remember coming accross it

got a few other bits and pieces. if it's half decent on here i'll stump up and list them in a posting.got maclaren travel bag and some wii games to sell too. so might aswell. no doubt the wii games will be snapped up pretty quickly.

bexie - no idea of price. should really list. dont want to get jumped on for not paying and selling. however.... do you have my email? and if i remember correctly? are you not pretty close to me?

nicolamumof3 · 23/03/2010 14:36

by original i just mean that i had another black xt after the ones we bought when they first came out!!

depends on condition what silver handle tips are like and wheels? anywhere £100 upwards? Think i was quite like with mine went for £140ish i seem to remember last November. I've had a few buggies since then

FlyMeToDunoon · 23/03/2010 14:39

hello DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE long time no hear.
Sooooo I made the lemon drizzle muffins this afternoon with DD3. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm
I've had two! and they are massive. Pics later on profile when DP brings the laptop home. I haven't worked out how to reduce photo size on this thing. Only thing is that the muffin cases get quite soggy at the bottom when you pour the lemon juice mix on. I am trying to decide wether to freeze some or just eat them all

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 23/03/2010 14:41

ooh thats good. best get it washed and some pics taken. handles haven't got a single scratch. only thing from perfect is the bottom edge of oval has rubbed the silver off a little. wheels reflectors are all still intact and unscratched if thats what is important on wheels. wonts know about rest of wheels condition till clean them up i suppose. and just found box with all the unused bits

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 23/03/2010 14:42

dunoon - eat them

nicolamumof3 · 23/03/2010 14:52

sounds good im bit out of touch with xt prices they were going quite cheaply but that might have been after xmas..check completed listings first. It will easy sell they are so popular.

ds2 starts school in September too...then ds3 will be going next year..can't believe it!! then decide whether to go for dc4 or have my life back?!!

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 23/03/2010 14:54

i've got ds going to school and dd to nursery half day in aug. no idea what i shall do with myself when i have a few hrs every day dc free... might have to go back to work

be nice to have your life back nicola. but then again. also good to get it all over and done with together

nicolamumof3 · 23/03/2010 15:11

i do rather want another baby, love being pg and giving birth! love newborns too. One last go would be nice i think.

Luka starts nursery every morning in September he goes now but only three mornings as we have to pay. Tate goes every afternoon. So no break atm!

Divatheshopaholic · 23/03/2010 16:35

Hi all, no lemon drizzle here
We went out dc`s friends this morning then took car to MOT, went to see SIl as they were near garage, then school run, went and fetched car again, only just back home
Phew.
Donttouch, long time no see. Hope kids are all well and grown

FlyMeToDunoon · 23/03/2010 17:41

Nicola DD3 is going to nursery 5 mornings in Sept too. I plan to do something but don't know what. Term time jobs are hard to come by. Maybe do a course or make pushchair liners. Do you want one?
Diva we can have a parade of muffins when you make some. I have been very good and frozen 9. DD3 annoying me by eating just the icing on two and then trying to take another. Grrrr
Such a headache all day, hope it's not leading to a migraine.
