hello there pushchair experts.

I want something like a bugaboo bee:

*lightweight and folds easily
*option to put a carrycot on it
*forward and rear facing pushchair
*needs to be able to accommodate standard car seat on the chassis (lke a maxi cosi/britax)
*will last until 2 or 3 and will negate the need for a macleren or something similar

I want all that but don't want to spend loads of money

What do you think?

I have the 2 handed loola, i think it's the loola up which has the one handlebar. You can turn the loola up into 2 handles aswell so have both options.

I have got a Loola Up and you can't turn it into 2 handles - is that a feature in newer models?

The oyster is not suitable from birth without the carrycot because the recline is not over 150 degrees, it is 140 degrees.

nappyaddict · 23/10/2009 11:48

kelly Do you stock the Britax Strider?

Sammia · 23/10/2009 13:01

Oyster is great..but UK is pretty much out of stock!

kellyatbabyguds · 23/10/2009 16:30

Hi nappyaddict no its an argos only thing really. Although we deal with Britax direct it is not distributed here.

nappyaddict · 23/10/2009 18:31

So you probably don't know how many degrees it reclines to? Is there any way of finding out if you deal with them direct?

charliebrownsmum · 25/10/2009 19:49

bertie, sorry, think i've got confused about it!

I just saw a streety on kiddicare and was thinking how much it looked like the bee - but without that big price tag!
It can have the seat facing you or away - and the frame is similar in shape.

I just ordered the loola because I wanted a buggy that would face me and also fit into the titchy boot on our zafira (with rear seats up!)...It faces the parent if you want too - but doesn't look as much like the bee as the streety does!

Other than that there's a First Wheels City Elite Which looks VERY much like the bugaboo Gecko. This bargain price one is a clearance item - the latest version has more chrome trim and looks less like a copy of the gecko. The main difference between this and the Gecko aside from the price would be that the seat has to be removed in order to fold the pushchair - which might be somewhat inconvenient if you plan to use public transport (the main reason I haven't bought it myself)!!!

The streety is quite heavy to push when it is in RF mode.

The froggy magica from ebay or Amazon is very much like the bugaboo and only £118 and soooooo nice

Coral2757 · 22/05/2014 23:02
