Tempted to get a BJCM as my Quest is getting a bit tatty

Are they any better? Easier to push?

Halfords are selling the BJCM for £110 which is a complete and utter bargain. You don't get a choice of colours but for that price who cares?

Lifesagame · 12/02/2012 18:34

That really is a bargain! You need to remember too that on paper they might be more or less the same width but they're very different pushchairs. I was in a cafe with my Bjcm and someone came along with a bJ elite. It looked HUGE next to the mini but I wouldn't mind betting there's not much in it on paper! Guess it would be fairly similar against a mountain buggy?

Tiggywunkle · 12/02/2012 19:07

There aren't any left in the UK at Halfords :((

Can I share these photos because I love them:
On view is the Baby Jogger City Mini
But look at what is underneath!
It's a Baby Jogger City Elite
The chassis are almost the same size. The wheels make the main difference.

RattyPatty · 12/02/2012 22:07

Where can I buy one of these BJCM's of which you speak?

not Halfords
I couldn't see it on Kiddicare just now

Anymore suggestions?

Nagoo · 12/02/2012 23:16

Hi ratters :)

AFAIK the 'sidewalk' at Kiddicare is the same as the city mini?

Nagoo · 12/02/2012 23:17

john lewis

Nagoo · 12/02/2012 23:18

tesco

Tiggywunkle · 12/02/2012 23:26

The Sidewalk is a City Mini edition that is made for Kiddicare. But there are differences
Have a Google and then look under "shopping" and you should get lots of places that stock them. Tesco, Boots, Debenhams, Next do as well as loads of independent stores.

HypatiaTheProcrastinator · 13/02/2012 09:33

Boots have double points and there eas a 10% code posted on here the other day. I think it was PUSHC80.

EldonAve · 13/02/2012 16:02

the 2012 version should be out soon, maybe that's why the Halfords ones were cheaper

OP posts:
Tiggywunkle · 13/02/2012 16:19

The Halfords ones were 2010 versions. The new BJs usually arrive around April / May so I would anticpate Tesco in particular dumping stock around then.

EldonAve · 14/02/2012 14:25

still conflicted, I basically don't really need one given I have a MB already
I was tempted as we are visiting the US & they are only $200

'sup Nag dog Wink

Thanks for your suggestions lovely ladies I am off to google Smile

stressheaderic · 14/02/2012 15:56

A lone voice here, but I have tried the BJCM but I have a Quest and prefer the Quest. It just seems smaller, lighter, slimmer yet still sturdy. DD is a tiny 2 year old mind. The hood has never blown back for me and DD sleeps soundly and snugly in it. Oh, and it's spotty. I love it.

tomverlaine · 14/02/2012 16:04

I liked my BJCM but i did find it unstable - it seemed to have a tendency to tip (wasn't just me who thought this)- I love my BJ Summitt though

LilyBolero · 14/02/2012 19:37

I love the BJCM, it is a wonderful pushchair. Tons better than any of the maclarens.

Tiggywunkle · 14/02/2012 20:11

The BJCM4 is as solid as a rock :)
