It's very iCandy / Spin looking.

I was pondering buying a Pinto yesterday. I love the huge shopping basket.

I also keep thinking about the iCandy Peach Jogger. If that is stable enough, then thats probably the best all round pushchair I can think of. Great styling, carrycot, good seat, forward / reverse facing, car seat, large basket, 3 wheel off roader, large hood etc etc etc. It does just about everything and in style.

misdee · 06/11/2011 07:44

just been looking at the uppababy vista and am liking it even more, especially the package deals on groovystyle.

can anyone find me a link to the rumble seat set up please? the one i've seen looks very upright, and i'm not too sure.

suzie38 · 06/11/2011 08:11

Why don't Teutonia put the pushchair measurements??? Angry

OP posts:
suzie38 · 06/11/2011 08:51

Measurements are on the US site...It's quite narrow for it's size...There's a stockist not too far away...Might email to see what they have on the showroom floor.

anyone got more news on britax/bob? wondering if/when bob will be hitting thjese shores.

MonkeyJuice · 06/11/2011 10:05

Misdee the rumble seat is v upright, but it may work for u in conjunction with a sling if necessary for nap time.
www.bestbuggy.co.UK had some fab pictures and a review.
As you have a large family you would definately appreciate the huge underseat basket.

MonkeyJuice · 06/11/2011 10:10

I wish the Micralite classic would hurry up. Anyone who visits a pram shop this week please look at the new toro for me. See if its large enough for a 3y old.
I am a bit afraid to order before seeing. Also I had a fab discount deal on the classic which might not be transferred to the toro if i change the order now.

Peachybuzzybee · 06/11/2011 10:52

I will be trying to go on my failed pram shop trip a week on Friday when I am next nearby.
Misdee - the Rumble seat is practically at 90 degrees. It's very upright - in the same way the main seat can be set at practically 90 degrees. I thought my 15 month old would be fine in it, which he was until he got sleepy and there was no way I could have left him in it. It's a while since I have run round and pulled a child out so fast. His head was jerking horribly. Fantastic for my eldest though. It's really a seat for any toddler who won't nap! There's enough support for them to rest their head IYKWIM but if they will actually fall asleep then I wouldn't use it. I wish I had had it a year ago.

Peachybuzzybee · 06/11/2011 10:54

Just to add I have some photos (not great) of the Rumble seat next to the vertical wall of our house to show how near vertical it s. Would those be useful to put online even if they don't look much / need explaining?

FriggsFlyingFalconFeathers · 06/11/2011 13:10

yes,please do peachy!
id like to see them...DD lost the plot whilst out today,it would have been very useful to have had a seat to put her in!

pramsgalore · 06/11/2011 13:29

suzie i can measure the handle of a teutonia lambda, but all the models over here i think would have the same handle height with the exception of the one that the handle reverses. if thats any help. i also need to take pics of pushchairs later so can add the teutonia and link it, so you can see what the seat is like in rl if you want, the seats are all the same on the ones over here.
what pushchairs are out at the begining of the year, any, can not wait too long though, dp will spend my funds Grin

pramsgalore · 06/11/2011 13:36

monkeys, dp did say that he may take me to kiddicare, will check if he meant it, they sell the toro and i know they had them on display, but did not really pay much attention to them, but if i do go, i will stick dd in to the seat for you. i would love to go back, it will give me the chance to see what i really like hands on and try dd in them, they had loads all on display. ooooo shall go and ask if he meant it and when.

suzie38 · 06/11/2011 14:02

Prams the handle height is fine as i found the details on the US site...Goes down to about 92cm...I like the Cosmo the best but the Be You would be more reliable in snow as you can flip the handle and have the big fixed wheels at the front, like you would with a Frog or Cameleon...There's a shop nearby that sells them so i'm going to email them to see what they have on the showroom floor...But according to an eBayer it takes 8-10 weeks to arrive as they're built to order...DH has taken the Go out this morning so i'll see what he says about it as it's not been used for over 3 months...That'd be fine on the bus with the handle pushed down...It's footprint is 3" longer and 2" wider than the Cosmo, guessing the Be You is similar to the Cosmo.

when i bought the spirit s3 they had certain colours in stock to take away, but yes they can take about 11 weeks to arrive if you order, sometimes longer, they don't rush. my spirit was red and the lambda is a kind of army green, the seats are lovely, but the mesh does get in the way when you recline the seat and then sit it back up again, but just a quick tuck behind the seat and its sorted. the hoods are huge and with an apron you would not require a raincover, the raincovers that come with them are like crisp packets and are not clear like glass but cloudy really cheap, but they do sell one extra, but to be honest you don't need one.

pramsgalore · 06/11/2011 14:22

they are built really well and are so sturdy, and when i discovered my spirit s3 had been in a recall for the front wheel, i just filled out an online form and i had the replacement wheel with in days, very good fast customer service and they have 3 years warrenty on them, my lambard is a good few years old and it still looks new, so they are very good.

pramsgalore · 06/11/2011 14:25

monkeys, dp said he would take me, but pointed out it would cost about £25 each way, so i am not going to go, Sad will be looking around at local shops, but if i come accross one, i will stick dd into it and get dp to take a pic of her for you if that helps.

pramsgalore · 06/11/2011 14:36

just one other thing to point out, they don't hold their value, i bought one with everything, soft carrycot, apron, cosytoes, parasol and chassis and pushchair seat and i only paid about £50 for the lot and like i said it looks new. not many people know about them. i also ended up selling my spirit for half the price i paid for it and it was only a few months old and in perfect condition.

suzie38 · 06/11/2011 15:03

Thanks for that infomation...If i bought one new it would really have to be my last one!!! And my main one...Can they be folded both in one and two pieces??? I'd love a dark purple one, as i like the color and so does DD, hence me buying a purple Nuna soon...Will make a decision after i see one in person...I read somewhere that all 4 wheels have suspension so it's more bouncy than a Xari for example???

OP posts:
pramsgalore · 06/11/2011 15:43

yes, they are a tad more bouncy than a xari, dd thought it was funny when i bounced her in mine, right i have completely got it wrong, the lambda can be folded with seat on, i always have taken the seat off for some reason, it is now folded in my kitchen with seat attached, but i won't lie to you, it is a large bulky fold, that quite frankly will take up almost just as much room if it was set up. mine looks like the fun system.
i now know why i take the seat off, it makes it heavy to unfold and flick out. i may have to use mine next week, this could be my winter pushchair as well, yes suspension on all four wheels and large basket, on mine easy to get to with seat facing either way, on the spirit s3 the basket was hard to get into with seat pf, rf was fine.

Peachybuzzybee · 06/11/2011 16:19

Just for the record, coz I know you don't want one Suzie, the Babyzen handle is 98cms in the centre where the buttons are, tapering down to below 95cms on the handlebar sides.
I think I prefer being Tiggy Confused
Frigg, I think you would find the Rumble seat useful. I never tried but I hear it fits in the basket somehow. I personally wouldn't bother with the add on footrest part. OH said if we were keeping it he would have just hung it from the handle somehow. There's a clip on the underside as well which could be used to store it.

pramsgalore · 06/11/2011 16:26

tiggy, come back, its just not the same calling you peachy Grin

suzie38 · 06/11/2011 16:35

Saw the dimensions for the Fun System folded and its pretty big!!!

OP posts:
MonkeyJuice · 06/11/2011 16:59

Pramsgalore that would be fab if you do see one and are able to check it out. X
Misdee have you looked at the baby jogger city mini twin? It can be carried inside folded if necessary and is very fast to fold.
