Pushchairs
Worst reason to buy a pushchair ever? Advice please
Kayano · 16/07/2011 13:46
DH friends have got an iCandy and so DH now wants one for our baby when it arrives. Having not looked at any prams or anything yet I was pretty openminded...
Then I saw the have a Strawberry model. I must own it! I love strawberries to the point I have a Japanese card wallet with strawberries on it, a bag with strawberries on it... There is even 'Strawberry' in the name of our street name...
So... That's the worst reason ever right? I have since looked into it further and decided it looks pretty damn good and it is within our budget! Anyone got an iCandy Strawberry? I think it looks much better than their other models anyway. Is it a good one to get?
Pushchair destiny? Lol

They're not out till the autumn but I am seriously considering selling my iCandy Apple and Bee to get one. Reviews look good.

i have bought pushchairs because they are eye catching and lovely, even though they may not be pratical, about to do it again :o

I bought the iCandy Cherry limited edition because I fell in love with the changing bag. That's a REALLY shallow reason. Thankfully I've not regretted the crazy decision one bit. The pram that came with my bag is excellent

I'm not due til Feb so it also seems like great timing. It is fate lol

hang on a mo....

The Strawberry isn't out yet like the PP says but it is gorgeous :) There are lots of previews going on at present (details on the iCandy website) so it would be worth you having a look. There are some photos on //www.bestbuggy.co.uk of my daughter in the seat. I love the fleece fabrics, one handed fold with the seat on (and it remembers how you last had the seat unit ie reclined or straight). It's got a great basket that can be folded flat if you aren't using it and a pun net storage pocket under the seat for a raincover, changing kit or things like a purse, keys or camera that you don't want on display. It's also got the largest iCandy pushchair seat so will last from birth to three easily.

Lol OuchFrigg crossed posts with me :) I would love a Strawberry :)

There's a Strawberry in Notts at the end of July...Better check where the store is as it's not my closest.
Guildfordnanny · 16/07/2011 15:11
Babyzen? I adore mine :) I use it nearly everyday as it sits flat in a corner and is simple to put up and down (looks faffy but it's not really). The only thing I don't like is the straps slip ie get bigger easily. I keep having to tighten them in the course of an afternoon. My hubby has wowed all the local shop keepers by flashing the lights at them as he passes lol! I don't know if that's a good thing or not!
suzie38 · 16/07/2011 15:15
LOL...Yes the Babyzen though i won't get one of those even if they do look very cool.
OuchFriggingBludger · 16/07/2011 15:21
oooh those look so cool!
will not buy one, will not buy one, will not buy one, will not buy one, will not buy one, will not buy one, will not buy one, will not buy one...
Guildfordnanny · 16/07/2011 15:37
I love it so much that it will be one of the last pushchairs out of here :)
Kayano · 16/07/2011 18:00
Well I have just got in from town and saw a catering van with a strawberry on the side, drove down strawberry place - a different street to where I live - and past the strawberry pub.
These are all signs and I shall def. Be buying
Guildfordnanny · 16/07/2011 18:43
Aha but what colour will you get? Assam, Earl Grey, Cranberry or Pomegrante??
Kayano · 16/07/2011 19:33
Got to be pomegranate ! Those pics were SO helpful thank you all!
Guildfordnanny · 16/07/2011 20:46
I believe it is the hood, apron and Liner - basically the coloured parts of the pushchair. Its a little cheeky really because the price is for the basic black chassis but you have to then buy the flavour pack of your choice to finish it off!
Guildfordnanny · 16/07/2011 20:49
Sorry it's Elderberry not Cranberry - which pushchair has cranberry??? I have been boggling myself thinking Cranberry and Pomegrante were two reds lolololol! Silly me!
Tarlia · 16/07/2011 20:52
Oh I see, thanks for that. I was imagining something that smells of whichever fruit!
superjobee · 16/07/2011 21:04
damn you all!! i was about to say ick icandys are just not interesting to me in the slightest clicked on the link looked at them went mneh im right i dont like them oh my god that strawberry is really pretty so, to re-iterate, damn you all!!
there is not a cats chance in hell i would spend the money required for one of these prams and as OH is choosing our pram i know we wont get one but omg it just looks so pretty...
suzie38 · 16/07/2011 21:27
^^^ I was the same...Didn't like iCandy's at all until i saw the Strawberry...Possibly going to get one...A fairly nearby pram shop is having one in for a week so i may drive over to have a gander.
