after much thought i think i am going to go for a uppa baby vista with piggyback board, did consider a britax b smart and a baby jogger city mini 4 wheel, but have thought about it and i need a large basket that will take 2 rucksacks also needs to take a good weight and be parent facing as my dd4 talks alot when facing me but is silent when facing away, she also seems to be alot happier facing me as well. i am not bothered about the size as i walk everywhere, is this a good choice for me because as i said i won't get away with bringing any more through the front door :( have watch loads of demos on youtube and it looks ideal, but i will have to buy blind as no local stockests, also if you do own one who did you buy it off. many thanks :o

i have just shown dp pic of the mima xira and for the first time ever he has said that is bloody nice, i almost fell over in shock, but its just not suitable for my needs is it. it is nice though do i really need a buggy board, could the kids not carry their rucksacks them selves, it would last her until she no longer needed a pushchair, no i need a vista don't i, there is a jl on their list 40 mins away :o i do own other pushchairs if ds is playing up :o i just can not help myself

:o you have the kobi don't you Envy , but i think the seats are the same, i know the seat will take 17 kilo but are they big seats would they take say a 3 1/2 year old, my dd4 is a small 2 1/2 year old but it would have to last her till she no longer needed a pushchair, so right up till she starts school :o i still can not make my mind up, the question is practical and sensable [this is just not me]or just plain jaw dropping lovely no storage the best pushchair EVER, i could go to jl next weekend or i could order the vista

Lol, the Kobi is like no other pushchair ever! To use one is an experience. It's the only word I can use. Is it practical - to a large degree yes. We did a day trip with two children, changing bag, food bag, coats, handbag etc etc and still hung lots on the handlebar hmm probably shouldn't admit to that. Its solid as a rock. It's stunningly beautiful and even nicer to push. One of my top two easiest to push pushchairs with two heavy children on board. My daughter is rapidly growing out of age 3-4 clothes and fits beautifully. Head height for growth is limited but theres still cms left and she is at the top end of the range. Would a buggy board not fit?? In fact I seem to remember the opposite. I have a strong feeling a Lascal Maxi fits....only because the distributors of Mima also distribute the Lascal buggy boards and I am sure I got told one fitted. It's easy enough to check by phoning them? In single mode I would think you could easily balance both rucksacks in the baskets stood up. Or, I have suggested to Mima that a drawstring type baglike the Stokke to fit in the basket could be useful attached to the bottom. You can buy the Kobi as a single too with the bigger basket? If it doesn't work out blame OH coz he liked it and get a Vista ;) I think you buy a Mima for the experience, for the quality, for the pleasure, for the shape, the aesthetics...and if you buy one it's really for those reasons :)

aswellasyou - omg, but it is out of stock, does jl do the silver one, i know the white is not here but the silver is lovely or is it just the boring grey, Guildfordnanny - now i know your daughter fits in the seat i think i will have to take a trip to jl. wonder if they hold them in stock, i have just bought 3 of my dcs the trunki backpack so they have no excuses for not wanting to carrry their own backpacks :o are the baskets really really small or ok, i think i will regret it if i don't get it, shame i can not get both Wink.

The Kobi loaded up Bear in mind because this is the Kobi you lose basket space with the lower seat. But there's still a lot on here - two changing bags, coats, drinks, my large handbag, raincover etc.

They don't sell the white, just dark grey and only the black or red inserts. The one I linked to was instock last night.Hmm I get the feeling a lot of people read these threads without posting and steal my bargans!Grin The £850 is the basic price I think. so the extras add up to quite a bit more.

pramsgalore4 · 15/07/2011 12:38

£850 is for chasis and seat unit, when i read about them i thought they came with chassis, seat unit, insert, raincover and baskets, she called it a package, as for the colour you don't know unless you ask, they will more than likely come back and say no just the grey, but no harm in asking, the way i look at it, they have to deal with them so you never know :o but the grey with red will be fine if not

Oh I thought you had to buy the raincover, insert and baskets seperately, sorry. Ignore me!Grin I agree it's worth asking. The more they get asked, the more likely they are to get cheekyrascals to supply them as standard. You could be the first person to buy one in the UK! Grin

that price was for the xari, i have seen cheeky rascals say they can do it in cosmos as well as the grey, so if no joy with the white they may agree to get me the silver, its on a black chassis, it looks stunning :o

Sorry lol :) I just have the Kobi ones. I wonder if the comfort packs etc are similar price? If Cheeky Rascals do the silver then they should be able to supply JL with one for you :)
