Confused HELP!

They're very different buggies...I've had both and recently sold both...But only because i needed to reduce my extensive buggy collection so i can put my house on the market...Smart is only suitable from 4 months or so unless you buy a peanut bassinet...Can recline more and rear face with Verso adapters but not had any so can't comment from personal exprience...Plus you can get adapters to use with a car seat but extended time in car seats isn't recommended...Basket very small on the Smart but easy to access...Smart is very easy to fold and pretty compact once folded...Frog is a great pushchair for all ages...Bassinet from birth then a seat from 6 months though my DD went into the seat at 8 weeks as she screamed if laid flat in a carrycot...So so easy to push, bar handles are a lot easier to use than 2 seperate handles...Air tyres are great, i never had a puncture in 21 months of use...Frog is easier to push than Cam's...Frog is a 2 part fold so i wouldn't recommend for use on public transport in case you needed to fold up.

FriggFRIGG · 27/02/2011 21:30

its to use for BOTH my DC's i have a double, and a BJCM but i want a RF as i dont like my 5mo DS facing out yet, however my DD at 2.6 looked ridiculously huge in the bug bee! and as we walk everywhere(no car) she still gets tired sometimes so i would put DS into a sling and DD into the buggy.

(i would buy the verso for the p&t BTW)

it seems the bug is coming out on top,the only problem is that i very occasionally grab a bus home, and the two part fold would be a PITA but im not sure if it's a big enough issue to sway me to the p&t?!

how wide is the frog?
could i potentially get it onto a bus without folding?

thankyou!!

OP posts:
suzie38 · 27/02/2011 22:15

Pretty sure it's dead on 60cm wide...I've taken it on the bus when we had snow...Our buses are very buggy friendly though...I'd only need to fold if there were already 2 buggies on the bus and i didn't have time to wait for the next bus.

suzie38 · 27/02/2011 22:17

PS...Seat on a Smart is pretty small but not a problem as my DD is very tiny and i used it with a Cushy seat liner.

FriggFRIGG · 27/02/2011 22:17

thanks,thats sold it...

frog it is!Grin

OP posts:
Honeydragon · 27/02/2011 22:19

Psst I take it you've seen the Frog on the boards here?

suzie38 · 27/02/2011 22:19

You're welcome!!!

suzie38 · 27/02/2011 22:20

For me personally the Smart is a fun buggy for trips to the park, not a serious workhorse.

Honeydragon · 27/02/2011 22:21

Also I think you have to remove the seat and the verso adapters to fold the Smart from RF. Thats what put me off when I went to play with investigate them.

FriggFRIGG · 27/02/2011 22:30

ahhh, well thats really done it then..yep saw it,have just seen it in an email...tis lurverly, now some seriously fast selling needs to be done on my part!

ahhhh! what sells fast?!! Grin

OP posts:
Honeydragon · 27/02/2011 22:33

The kids sell the kids!!!!

oh hang on then you won't need the frog

dp/dh stick him on ebay Grin

FriggFRIGG · 27/02/2011 22:39

those are both excellent ideas...i was thinking more along the lines of all the baby's shite lovely things we still have Grin

OP posts:
Honeydragon · 27/02/2011 22:47

Well I got my bee as thus

Took Nana's bloody awful bracelet that has been sat in bottom of wardrobe since inheriting. Sent to bullion dealers, as prices aren't going to get better. Went to Mothercare, bought Bee Grin.As that was my rainy day item I am ebaying like mad soon to build up emergency funds again Grin

So far have listed the dreaded Streety Wink and a phone.... I need to try harder! Blush

Honeydragon · 27/02/2011 22:51

BTW - I think the Frogs lovely. Personally I like it much more than the Cam. They just seem so light to push and the suspensions brilliant.

My friend has the Cam and looks at my Vigour+ with Envy as it has a proper basket and I've yet to find anything it can't plough over or through.

FriggFRIGG · 27/02/2011 22:53
Grin

ooohh,phones,do they sell then?

glad you got your bee,do you love it!i bet you do,they're fantastic,i'll bet the extra height on the + is worth the extra £££'s!

i do have the BJCMicro i could sell,if DD would fit well in the frog.not sure how much id get for it though...hmmm

DD has a vast collection of shoes too...

FriggFRIGG · 27/02/2011 22:54

i had a vigour when i lived in the countryside, twas wonderful

OP posts:
Honeydragon · 27/02/2011 22:59

I got it for £388 with hood so I'm happy. Well I put my phone on at 6.20pm with a start price of £14.99 and some ones bid already , and the Streety went on at 7pm and already has three watchers.

Before it comes off look at my profile, at the rear wheel. This is why people with the rear axle faults must have complained - the tyre tread is pretty thin in comparison to other models, so I can imagine if heavy pressure is all on the rear they'd wear pretty thin.

Honeydragon · 27/02/2011 23:01

I'd sit on the Micro if you do decide to sell till after Easter when people start thinking about "holiday" strollers

Honeydragon · 27/02/2011 23:05

Unless the Bee storms into the house and kicks it arse it has been my favourite pram of all time. Picked it up from ebay for £45.00 like new. Lady who sold it to me was happier too as I talked her through couriering prams instead of listing pick up only and she's making more £££££ now Wink, I'm not sure why they brought out the B.Smart tbh, the Vigour is much better imo.

FriggFRIGG · 27/02/2011 23:06

oooh,youre clever you.
can i ask you before i do anything please,i never think of anything like that

thats very cheap!!
was it a price comparison?! Grin

i put my amby hammock up 2 days ago and it has 24 watchers!!Shock
what kind of phone?a swanky one?

OP posts:
FriggFRIGG · 27/02/2011 23:07

oh it is so much better,my friend has the b smart-its shite in comparison...really flimsy

OP posts:
FriggFRIGG · 27/02/2011 23:09

oh and the bee may well thwart it!

OP posts:
Honeydragon · 27/02/2011 23:14

Nokia c3 - so fairly swanky looking, but not £££££. It appears to have pink in its favour.

Yup, got them to price match £409, they wouldn't give me 10% on top as they are not allowed. I pointed out the other website would give me 5% so would they meet me half way? They agreed.

I also tried Bambino direct re price match for £409, they said it was a compatible price match but couldn't do it as they couldn't afford to match....so yay to Mothercare.

Honeydragon · 27/02/2011 23:15

Your Amby should do well they're always popular.

suzie38 · 28/02/2011 06:03

To both of you...Do Vigours work in snow??? I bought a B Smart but sold it on straight away as DD hated the semi reclined seat...I've now got a Vista which is basically a B Dual with different handle and fold...Thinking i should have saved my money and bought a Vigour instead...Realised last night the seat unit originally came with a fixed footrest which then became adjustable.
