Oh i am so please we have left that old thread. Was a strange one but i feel hopefull that some old and new friends will come on for a chatt.

Hi everyone. Well got up at 5.45 when I couldn't lie there any longer! But best news, Matthew's school is closed, so he's just marking and emailing some work to kids (briefly as they won't do it anyway, and who can blame them) and then I have him for the rest of the day - that alone has made me feel a million times better!

James can finally use his new sledge and it'll stop his cabin fever.

I hope he's off tomorrow too then he can take me to the docs.

My tongue is swollen too and sore Hmm

oh maxy i know what a difference it makes when you have dh there to support. Terry has normal day off today. Its snowed all night and still snowing now. Alot worse than yesterday so all schools closed.

Glad Matthew is off today Maxy, you get yourself to bed. If you can, maybe go to your walk in centre, you need to get checked out.

Hospital appointment for DS3 today, I'm not entirely sure it will be on, and nobody answering phones, which isn't anything new.

Off to docs in morning 5in, thank you. Got lumps on side of tongue at back - not good Hmm

I can't go to bed as am just focusing on bad bad throat so sat on settee wrapped up, Matthew took James to butchers on his sledge and they got sausages. Don't think we'll be getting more snow now but at least james is getting to play out in it!

i had this maxy ulcers on the back of my tongue and throat it was a severe infection i needed anti b's. you need some knock out painkillers lovie to get you to sleep.

its still snowing here, we went for long walk in it. Very deep in places about 10" through the park. Terry took boys down hill on sledge they loved it. Im going to make some sausage rolls in a minute!

Just been to visit my next door neighbour. He is 92 years old and just lost his wife few months again. We had to gang up on him to get him back in the house as he was trying to shovel the snow from his front door. He said he did not want anyone to hurt themselves that came to visit him. We went in to see he was ok and the house is immaculate. It has really made we well up as he looks so cozy but so alone. His lovely daughter had made him 19 homemade meals and he just takes it out the freezer and pings it in special micro dish. He still had his little shirt n tie on and bunnet.
I so wanted to give him a big hug but he is the stiff upper lip sort. He gave the kids a sweetie and when we were saying goodbye he had a wee tear dripping but he was smiling away.

awww basl so sad thats made me cry. I love old people so many people don't have time for them, but they are full of lifes amazing stories and still love and feel as we do. So sad to be on his own.

HMG he is incredable a real slap in the face to some lazy so n so's. He is near blind but does his recycling down the road and he even brings my bucket in for me. Kenny just lets him do it because he likes to feel like he is helping. He also picks all the weeds out between the slabs on our walk way between our house as he likes it all neat n tidy.

He is just a wonderful old man and missing his wife so much. They used to go to the bingo and she was 90 when she died. When you speak to him he is always smiling and if you make him laugh he does a wee sort of slap you on the back like " a way wi ye" Love him.

He takes all my parcels in if i am out and been known to bring in my washing Shock Kenny grew up in this street so known him all his life.

Sounds like a film eh but i swear it's all for real.

Love your pics of your kids they are adorable xxx

well bloody men eh? He has gone to PO in town and taken James but was so rushed about with James whinging that we forgot to discuss what he was going to get, so will still not have the stuff in we need.....sigh. House is a pig sty and that is driving me mad so will have to do some now. My mouth is so blardy sore, they better not tell me "it's a virus" tomorrow when I go, grrr

God I ma having hot sweat now, I actually feel better in myself - just my mouth, Last night I felt like running under a truck, the pain was that bad. Tongue went down but swollen again, weird huh? Hmm

Have you got strong pain killers? I agree with nic you could be doing with some sedatives??

Could you Bear to gargle a small amount of salt water. They told me to do this when i had ulcers??

nah just normal things, have co codamol - very strong ones but to be honest they just make me a bit addicted and affect my bowel so pointless those.

I did warm salt wash this morning actually, to be honest I could bear anything now as the pain is like that numb pain - itms? now anyway. Will do it again ina a min. Can't see an ulcers though, but my tongue is def beefy. Yak. ok living room half decent, so sitting down now lol

Hi all. Off to docs today. Basl - I was lay in bed wondering if I would ever sleep again. I am going to try and get the train to docs and pray pray pray they are running. It is only 10 mins on train then a 10 min walk, plus I can be assured to get on with james in pushchair. It is showing minus 9 outside atm brrrrrrrr.

He got all stuff for tea but forgot throat sweets, kind of (he had issues with James Xmas Grin) so went back out for me anyway. But they don't do anything, just take my mind of it for a second.

Oh my god moan moan moan sorry Xmas Blush

Well trains all canceled here so my much needed girly weekend canceled. I am gutted. Hotel paid the lot and can't get there.
