I will bank transfer you for the dungies maxy if you manage to get them. Don't worry about a piccie if you put receipt in i can just change them if no good.

Can't remember if i showed you pic of luka in BS i remember you asking maxy? anyway theres one on fb i took this morning walking along to swimming.

basl · 15/11/2010 16:01

Just measured Daniel and he is 94cm too. Is that tall for a 2yr 4mth child? Maybe he would fit the nipper. Sorry i won't mention it again Blush

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 15/11/2010 18:00

so he's same size as luka then basl? I suppose that is fairly tall as he's about a year younger than luka? I think luka is pretty much average size? But who knows whats average eh?!!

Im feeling, fed up overworked and stressed tonight. Cannot wait to get these kids into bed. But not sure what to do to cheer myself up really. Need to do more wrapping just hate it so much and cold and uncomfy sitting on floor doing it!! moany cow is going now.

basl · 15/11/2010 18:23

Awww nicola i just had a guy from work on face book telling me i have too much time on my hands as i am never off face book. Well i went for the jugular lol Cheeky pig. Don't think some people ever really get how hard it is to do normal day to day stuff and not want some kind of outside chat or a wee laugh or something.

Hope you feel better soon and is this you wrapping christmas presents already?? You will have the last laugh Grin i always end up doing it a week before Grin

nicolamumof3 · 15/11/2010 18:26

no i want all my shopping/wrapping all done by 1st december. Every year i say it never manage it but this year going to try!!

basl · 15/11/2010 18:28

Lol if it kills you or not Smile I always think some port or wine is a must while wrapping presents.

OP posts:
horsemadgal · 15/11/2010 19:31

Awww basl think he's tall. Scott is 86cm at 21 months, not sure where he's at now but was prev 91 centile for height n weight.
Think you are meant to double their height at 2 years to get their adult height, interesting that!
Course he's not too big for Nipper LOL! Grin

basl · 15/11/2010 19:37

I so want to buy that off you HMG but i really think i would regret it if it won't last too long. Luka looks so comfy in your nicola. I think he must be tall because he is the official toast handerouterer at the toddler group. All the little ones get him to pass the toast that is high up in the tea room Grin very funny to watch.

OP posts:
maxybrown · 15/11/2010 20:31

He is tall Basl! I have two boys at toddlers who are same age as Daniel - so almost a year younger than James and they are same height as him easily. Nicola - we have average to midget children Grin Think James is 50th centile ish. So spot on right - whatever right is, loads of balls!

Ooh Nic I love wrapping - I'll do it for you - that sounds like de ja vu - maybe offered the same to you last year lol Confused like to do mine on Christmas Eve - well for James and Matthew anyway, I get all excited then Grin

ok no problem about dungies. James has speech therapy on Wed so def be in town then.

5inthebed · 15/11/2010 20:54

Evening ladies :)

I will measure DS3 tomorrow, he is a tall lad! Well, all three of my boys are.

How is James' speach therapy going?

Basl, you do cheer me up!

nicolamumof3 · 15/11/2010 20:57

Thank you maxy a lovely pair of dungies will cheer me right up.

well i've wrapped terry's bday presents. only had two things so that wasn't bad. Im now trying to shop for my uber trendy brother and wife. So so hard to buy for! Plus i need to get something now so i can send it off next week as want to send DSIL bday present at same time and that is 3rd dec so clock ticking.

Currently on asos, debating a few things hmmm.

Wrapped boys school photo's two for three sets grandparents, two uncles and terry's aunt and uncle. So getting there with the wrapping.

maxybrown · 15/11/2010 21:06

Yeah you have tall ones don;t yo 5in? NO chance in this house, we're all pygmies (hippos in my case lol) in my family and Dh's not much taller!

Speech therapy going well thanks 5in, not been for 4 weeks now though so back on wed right up til Christmas. He is getting so frustrated at the minute though and it bloody wears me down trying to translate all day. Some days are really hard and long. I think he might have some other issues going on too - maybe. Will mention it to paed in Jan and see hwat he says anyway

nicolamumof3 · 15/11/2010 21:30

oh maxy it must be hard going. Tate just had speech assessment at school, his vocab is fab but i was worried as he's still stuttering, he passed the assesment tho apparently whatever it was?!

5inthebed · 15/11/2010 21:37

Yes, tall boys. DS1 is 7, and only 1ft shorter than me.

Glad to hear it is going well Maxy, he will get there hopefully! DS2 didn't speak until he was 3 1/2 years, but that was with intensive SALT every day at his ASD unit. Now there is no shutting him up. Wouldn't have it any other way!

maxybrown · 15/11/2010 22:10

It can be - thing is 5in he never ever shuts up, he ribbets ALL DAY LONG, just makes no bloody sense whatsoever. he has got a few new words and I can see some of them are hard for him to say, bless him.

Looking forward to him hopefully getting a place at the speech unit in September. He will be assessed for it after Easter, but they said he is high priority.

I feel so bloody guilty as sometimes by the end of the day I could climb the wall with him as trying to work out what he means for the smallest of things can take half an hour and he is very communicative too. That makes me feel bad to say that Sad

Nic was that through school? Is it worth speaking to someone else too? Ask exactly what they did

nicolamumof3 · 15/11/2010 22:21

oh maxy must be so so frustrating its so sad that he can't get some kind of nursery place that would help too from jan? I do understand your pain as we went through it with luka when he was so frustrated but he was obviously younger.

I really really don't know about Tate. Terry is very much of the mind to leave it. But i thought it would have improved by now? He does it more obvioulsy in new situations and when he's nervous or excited.

maxybrown · 15/11/2010 22:27

Have you spoke to HV? but if you have a good one? You can self refer to SALT too.

I am noticing more and more people staring at us in shops or on the bus/train when he is going on and on and then people ask me how old he is Hmm they obvously think he is only 18 months or something and must be very very big!

nicolamumof3 · 15/11/2010 22:31

people often comment at tate...'spit it out' or immitate him, drives me nuts. so so rude. I so hope you get to the bottom of James's speech delay.

We don't have any contact with HV at all, haven't for about a year now. Wanted to speak to them about Luka actually (still won't poo on the bloody toilet) Theres always something isn't there!!

maxybrown · 15/11/2010 22:35

oh god - well I have NEVER met my health visitor so full sympathies there!!

BASTARDS, sorry for swearing but it pees me off - how dare they bloody say that to him!

Well it's most probably speech dyspraxia, that is how the SALT is treating him anyhow. Not heard back about the EEG yet Hmm

He is slowly eating less and less too, driving me bloody potty with that - I think he has some sensory issues with his mouth Hmm joy oh joy - like you say always something Grin

maxybrown · 15/11/2010 22:35

spit t out...........I can't get over that Hmm I am so angry for you!!!!

nicolamumof3 · 15/11/2010 22:37

i was so angry for Tate luckily he's a confident boy. I think as his teacher has no concerns i should just leave it and try not to worry.

Night night my lovely xx

maxybrown · 15/11/2010 22:39

yeah well you know him best Smile

Night night xx

basl · 15/11/2010 23:14

Evening ladies. Nicola i am so sorry to hear that too and totally agree with Maxy BASTARDS. The younger of my two nephews has a strong stutter and is 10yrs old. He is really bad when excited or nervous like you say but bright as a button and doing really well at school. I think i may have mentioned before that he is the most laid back boy you would ever meet. Never ever have i seen him in a bad mood or cheeky or anything but smiling and happy. They told us it was that his brain works too fast for his speech. Don't know if i am happy with that explanation but can't push it.
I can't believe how insensitive people can be and regards to the not pooing on the loo. I have huge experience with olivia not going and we went to a clinic for ages. If ever you want advice or tips on that i would gladly talk with you on that. xxx

Maxy i think your amazing and such a wonderful parent so perfectly understandable to get frustrated when you have to translate all day. I don't know what to say other than you will reap your rewards one day when he looks behind all this and knows you have helped him concur this.

Sorry ladies i am feeling extremely down tonight too wonder if we are all on the same cycle lol so don't mean to go on and on.

OP posts:
horsemadgal · 16/11/2010 09:03

Hope you're feeling better this morning basl.

We also have the poo issues here so can sympathise. DS1 has clinic tonight and he is doing fab now though not there yet, but he's nearly 7.

I'm not up on speech issues but yes maxy you know him best.
