Can you recommend really nice sofa shops other than the usual Heals/John Lewis etc etc?

We have just had an offer accepted on our dream home. If it goes through then I want a gorgeous new sofa for the middle of the new sitting room. It will be in the middle of the room (not against a wall) so its shape will be very important.

I can't find what I want on any of the normal sites. Any recommendations for sofa sites?

(Incidentally the sofa I picture is a three seater with a elegant slope to its back, short wooden legs and arms that come up half the length of the back and are also at a slight angle).

Has anyone mentioned Whitby Oliver?

We seem to have bought all our sofas from Furniture Village. One is leather and that is still in good condition. The other is fabric and also in good condition - however this may be because we never let anyone sit on it because it is light blue.

www.ligne-roset-westend.co.uk/sofas.htmlI have always wanted one of their sofas, beautifully designed.

Think Wesley Barrell and Multiyork are good quality and well known, also Andrew Martin and George Sherlock if you have lots to spend.

Hart Villa is also great, really, really lovely quality and beautiful back and front IYKWIM.

If on more of a budget then Sofa.com very good and lovely fabrics and styles, like laura ashley etc, but not so ££££

Fishpools if you live near one. Gorgeous and massive variety. Decent waiting times too as own the warehouse, often next day.
