What do we think to these kitchen tiles?

I love these, but are they old fashioned?

They aren't my taste at all but could be much worse!

Wouldn't be easy to clean. If I moved into a home with them I'd want to change them. If your going to live there a while, happy to clean them and your like them why not.

Definitely not moving any time soon!

They are giving a bit 80's fireplace.

I really like them! But they look hard to clean. I've got matt white ones (I wanted gloss but they delivered matt and before I knew it they were on the wall so that was that).

My mantra is for everything "can I be arsed to keep it clean" and in most instances the answer is no.

Makes me think of a French farmhouse - not a bad thing - but the cleaning world worry me. Would look wrong in my new build style home.

BTW. I like them. But not so fussed on the brown cupboards, I'd prefer the white throughout...

I like them but I wouldn’t buy them as they’d be difficult to keep clean. They’d get very greedy behind the hob.

I like them! But you need to get a sheet of Perspex/acrylic to go behind them or grease splashes from the hob will mark the grout completely! Trust me, I know from experience!

I don’t think they’re old fashioned. But I think they’re dated. They were popular about 15 years ago and not particularly on trend nowadays.

I could live with them in a kitchen but I wouldn’t go out and buy them.

I can’t think of anything I cook that would splash the tiles. Happy to clean them in any case. Gahhhh I love them!!

Very dated, give off 1980’s naff holiday cottage vibes and everything you cooked would cling to them.

I’d continue them up to behind the cooker hood as those ones are truly awful

A bugger to clean and the down lights on the uneven surface show dust and make the tiles look badly laid. Also I think they look very rustic (as someone said French farmhouse' and don't go with the more urban kitchen style at all.

Not for me and I would think awful to keep clean.

I wouldn’t choose them, but they do suit that particular kitchen.

I cook from scratch most meals and don't cook many things that splash out of the pan, but no way would I consider those things. Cooking fat, dust, hair, bugs will all reside in those crevices.

Any reason you are consider such an un hygienic design where you cook food?

I think they're absolutely hideous and definitely dated, but I don't have to live with them (you'd probably hate my design choices too)! And why the heck are there different tiles behind the cooker hood?

I love them too. I'm not so sure about the colour scheme of it all though, I feel like everything could could tone in better, maybe all earthy tones instead of the white or all white as another poster says

I agree with pp , they'd be bugger to clean. You say you don't splash much when cooking but steam greases dust and the occasional splash would still need cleaned.

I presume that the photo is a stock one from a catalogue/ show room and not your kitchen but why the bugger are there different tiles behind the hood and completely different styles and colours on the doors and drawers it's a right mixed bag !

Here it is with a splashback. I can’t get AI to change the tiles above the hood, but needless to say to say they’d all the the same.
